Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug, Catherines closing 150 stores nationwide The owner of
retailers Lane Bryant , Fashion Bug , Catherines Plus Sizes will close about 150 underperforming stores this year. The company hasn't provided a list of specific store closures and can't say when it will offer that info, spokeswoman Brooke Perry said today.

Isn't it wonderful to shop at regular stores now??  Now, if we could just get the companies to stop sending us catalogs!!!

I went to Dress Barn last week for the first time and love, love, love it!  I actually have a size 12 skirt on today!  Take that Layne Bryant!

I am quite happy about having a part in the closing of all these stores. I love going to stores and being able to purchase normal size clothes at normal prices. For once in a looooong time I am getting to pay the least amount of money instead of that added "larger sizes slightly higher in price" which I think is a crock!!! 


                         

I really hate to hear this....The Charming Shops have done a good job of bringing Top Trendy Fashion to the larger sized woman. Even after my weight loss I am a full figured woman by build and wearing a 14/16 ~ 18/20 is awesome! :o) I hope they will scatter the closings so that other BBW's will still be able to dress well and feel good about themselves. I am huge supporter of my motto to "Bloom Where you are Planted" and on my Ebay site I encourage all women especially the BBW's to Bloom and to feel beautiful and sexy no matter their size.  

I think it is wonderful most of you gals on here are out of the specialty shops now and I truly applaud that. I just know so many BBW's have been left out for so long I hate to see any of the fashion resources dimish.

As much as I enjoy being able to go to the 'other side of the store' at Fashion Bug, I am so thankful for Lane Bryant when I shop for my daughter & step-daughter. It would be nice if we could get rid of all the plus size stores..but I don't think the obesity level is quite that low just yet. I hope enough of them sticks around because those not fortunate enough to get below a 14 likes to look nice too...and you just can't do that with what Walmart offers.

well, i actually think that the fashion bug here in terre haute will stay open because i keep that store in business!!! i love their 'other side' section. i always shopped there for my wonderful 'plus' sized clothes, and now i've crossed over! lol
