What is a Secret Elf??

Sorry I guess I'm still new to things on this board and was wondering what a Secret Elf is?

Secret Elves are like secret pals.... Sherri coordinates it. There is a chance to sign up every six (?) months or so. It's fun, and doesn't have to be expensive. This round just started.

I don't know,.. you'd have to contact Sherri. I do know you have to be on the Indiana OH directory that Floyd keeps track of to be in Elves.

Yes, it is too late for this round. The drawing was July 15th. The next drawing will be the beginning of January. Prior to that, I will put out several posts about it.

A Secret Elf is much like our mother's Secret Pal was. To participate, you need to agree to remember your person at least once per month...and especially so on their special dates (birthday, sugery anniversary, wedding anniversary, major holidays). 'Remember' your person means to send them a card, small gift, etc. If you follow the thank you's on here, you'll get an idea of the sort of things we like to send each other...and to receive. E-cards are fine..but they should not be the only thing a person receives every month. I think we all find that we are much more attentive to the posts & lives of the person's name we drew. And it has a wonderful way of making the state of Indiana a good deal smaller.

The only other 'rule' is as Linda stated...you need to be in the Hoosier Directory. Floyd ([email protected]) maintains this for us. If you are not on it, drop Floyd a note.
