My first WOW moment
I have been extremely busy with my oldest daughter's wedding approaching so quickly. She is getting married tomorrow and although we have been planning for nearly 2 years, I don't feel ready. Understand that my second daughter got married in November to a soldier that left for Iraq in January. I got married in April. So, long and short of it... 3 weddings in 9 months is a little much. I am very blessed. To the point.... sorry. I got a new dress in April for my honeymoon cruise. It was alright but a bit tight and somewhat uncomfortable. I had my surgery 3 weeks after the cruise. I bought the dress knowing it would be my mother of the bride dress for Jessi's wedding. Well, I am 2 months post-op and down 44 pounds. I tried the dress on last night and OMG it is amazing. It actually fits me perfectly and my husband and friends all said I was a knock out in it! I stood and looked in the mirror for at least 5 minutes trying to believe that it was me in that dress. I then ran to put on my swimsuit from the cruise... you all know the dreaded "i have to wear a swimsuit" feeling. It was awesome too. I actually have curves again. and I dont mean just one big huge curve from head to toe. I have a shape! Wow......it's been years since I remember actually noticing I have a neck and clavicle bones. I am just amazed. Thanks for letting me share this with you all. I am so blessed.
Tracy, it sounds to me that you had a couple of wow moments, girl. First the mother of the bride dress and then the swimsuit. I would take them as two and run!!!!!!!!!
It is so wonderful seeing the changes as they happen. I remember when I felt the bones in my hips and also my ribs. I woke Bill up and had him feel them. lol It is times like this that the surgery really comes and taps you on the shoulder and says "Here I am again, to give you a bit more happiness in your life." and you just say "Thank you God for pointing me in this direction".
Here's to many many more WOW moments.

The wedding went off without a hitch and it was a total blast. She was a beautiful bride. My family members that haven't seen me since the surgery were blown away at the changes already. I got so many great comments. I was on cloud 9. Oh, and because of the jitters... I was on liquids all day. After dancing, walking, worrying and all the work. I LOST 3 POUNDS! Happy wedding gift to the mother of the bride! I am so happy today.
Thanks everyone for your kind replies. You are all great!
