FINALLY!!!!
Horray~I am so happy for you!!! it sometimes takes awhile, but in the end all of the wait is worth it! I know, it did for me, and in away, I am so glad it didn't happen earlier, cause I learned more from waiting. Plus think I was more prepared for it! Good luck, keep us posted, & make sure to start sipping & walking now, cause it does help!!

ENDURE,

I have lurked for over a year and very occasionally post. The full time job and 2 year old daughter keep me entirely too busy. My husband is in Germany right now visiting family and I haven't even got a chance to call him yet and give him the good news. I think one of the hardest things will be giving up caffeine. With my job, and my very energetic daughter, that is the main thing I am scared of, I don't know how I will do it without the coffee, diet pills and the one diet dr. pepper I have a day. How did you all keep up with the energy after surgery?
You are going to be surprised at the energy that you have after surgery. I may or may not come right after. Mine did and then it wained a bit from the changes my body went through. It really just depends on how your body adjusts.
It isn't really hard getting off the caffiene. But I would start doing it now and that way it kind of is easier. I was a diet pepsi nut and also ice tea. It was a bit difficult in the beginning but I drank Crystal Light and that helped a lot.
Good luck. Please post when you can and that way you can get to know us and we can get to know you better.
Congratulations!!!!!! It won't be long now!
As far as getting off the caffeine.....which would you want....the caffeine or weight loss. They take you off caffeine because they say it helps in weight loss! So ween yourself off because you are doing this surgery to get your health back, to look better and TO LOSE WEIGHT! Try to keep off the sodas also. I haven't had a soda in over 3 years now. (since before surgery) My soda of choice was Diet Mountain Dew. I loved it. I could try 5 a day! I actually had a caffeine free DMD the day before surgery to say goodbye! At our local support group last month, at least 3 people there had gained a lot of weight back. Each one of them said they wished they had NEVER started to drink sodas again because they think that was what started the end of their weight loss. Take it to heart. Don't go back to soda and try very hard to shake the caffeine habit now!
Didn't mean to come across lecturing, but I sure wish on some things people would have told me more before surgery!
