Greetings from Dan

I just wanted to say how much Ann and I enjoyed the clothing exchange this past Saturday. It was nice to get with to see friends who supported us so much during my surgery especially Linda Kay who was the first to visit with me the evening after my surgery on Nov 8, 2005. It was a pleasure to meet so many new Hoosier Losers that are starting out on their journeys as well as those who are continuing their journeys. Our prayers are always with all of you. I know that I would not be alive today if God had not healed me thru WLS.  Thanks Robin for being such a wonderful hostess for this event.  It was nice to meet you husband are darling daughter.  Please pass on a special God Bless You to your church family for providing a place to meet.  

I know that I have not been loyal in my posting on the Indiana Board but that does not mean I do not care, it is just that since our ordination and the establishment of Packard Ministries we have been very busy with visitations, Hospital Chaplain duties, writing and teaching and doing church services at two nursing homes here in Kokomo. We are always available to any of you who have special prayer concerns or request. Thru my weight loss surgery and going from being wheel bound at 475 lbs to now 210 lbs, God has been able to use us to serve Him thru Servant Ministry. I have never felt better in my life.   For those of you who are starting their journey with WLS keep up the battle. The surgeons did their jobs and the ball is our court to carrying on the healing process. For those of you waiting for insurance approval do not get discouraged but do what it takes to get your health back. For those who are thinking about getting surgery, please in the name of God do not wait until it is too late. My dear friend Missy Smith died a few months after surgery, not from the surgery but a massive heart attack leaving three young daughters. She waited to long to begin loosing a mass amount of weight.    As I close this post I want to thank you all for your friendship and let you know that Ann and I are always here for you. Although Ann did not have WLS she has stood with me during every aspect my journey. I would also be neglectful if I did not say how great you look Gail.

Good to her from you Dan.   I've been wondering what happened to you.  Glad things are going well and it just becasue you are feeling good and very busy that you haven't been on.

I didnt meet you formally but i did your wife Ann she is a wonderful woman.
I did see you in passing saturday and you look wonderful and you have such a sweet smile.
I hope you guys had a great time with the grandkids.

Hello, it is great to see you posting! I didn't get to make it to the exchange this time! You are doing an amazing job and your journey is going so well for you! I am so greatful to have met both you and Ann and am very happy to hear that you are able to enjoy your new found enrgy and able to enjoy your journey with so many others as you continue on with your ministies! Dan hello I want to thank you for your words of encouragement in my journey of weight loss! I am grateful for the information about your church. Tell Ann hello for me and I would like for you to tell her that it was a pleasure to meet her! I am back from my trip to French Lick and I am going to see if I can't talk to my husband and see if we can't come up there on Friday and then again on sunday. Could you tell me the time the cook out starts and if I should bring something I would appreciate it! Thank you again!         Michelle

Dan... YOU'RE the MAN!!! Wonderful to see you!!! I still to this day remember the first words out of your mouth when i delivered your goodie bag. You said. "YOU need a new picture".. I was so new at hospital visitations and you still thought of me!! Ann THANK YOU for all your support thru this. You not only support Dan but each one of us who know and love you. I KNOW Angie and Deb and Peggy will be so sorry they missed you guys!!
 Hey dan the prayers are working BIGTIME with the job and with my son too!!!! You wouldnt believe how blessed he was over the weekend!! Be well my friends.
