Monday Morning
It's now Monday afternoon here, so hopefully y'all have had a great start to the week! Linda Kay, how'd your job interview go? I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! Linda V, same for your hubby....subbing is a great way to bring in some extra money, and it's never the same job two days in a row! Brenda, I LOVE to read...your library's summer reading program sounds like ours here in town. I keep track of what I've read online (on another message board I belong to, CrunchLite.com) and I've read 80 books so far this year. Freaky. My new favorite author is Kristin Hannah...her newest, Firefly Lane, was phenomenal!
Today was swim lessons for the girls this morning, and then I got back to my workout routine. Last week I did my workout on Monday, and was just wiped out physically. My left thigh muscles were killing me, and I had very little energy all week. Then I learned I wasn't getting enough calories to support my workouts, so over the weekend I focused on keeping my calories up, and today it made a huge difference! I also ate a protein snack while the girls were in swim lessons, and that made a big difference as well. Experimented today with another protein ice cream: butter pecan. Holy shmoly....unreal!! Excellent!
I have a job interview myself in just two weeks, kinda ambivalent honestly. The ad was in our local paper yesterday, I applied online this morning, and had a phone interview this afternoon! It's a part time job working with school fundraisers, which is nice because I'd be on the school calendar. However, Emily starts kindergarten on Aug 13, and the job involves mandatory sales training Aug 12-13 in Indy. I will NOT miss my oldest child's first day of kindergarten! No way, no how. I did tell them that on the phone, and she said she'd see if there was something else we could do. Sooo...we'll see! It's a great company, and part time, so I wouldn't need child care for the kids, which is most important.
Off to start dinner! Tonight I'm going out with my mom to her friend's house to pick some perennial starts from Ann's garden. She is overrun with her lilies, and we're going to help her pare them down, and build our gardens in the process!
