I am in a rut. I am 3 weeks out and would love to go to soft foods but I dont see my MD until 7/28. i am tolorating everything well. Does anyone have any ideas? Also, I chew, and chew, and chew everything even though it is pureed until it dissolves in my mouth. Am I being overly cautious??

I went to pureed (well not really, I didn't puree a damn thing, but I did chew chew chew and made sure everything was moist enough) a week before I saw Dr Evanson.  My surgery was 4/23, and my 1 month checkup wasn't until 5/29.  I went by the yellow sheets that said I was on full liquids for 4 weeks, and then onto the pureed stage.  If you are feeling fine and getting all your protein in, you could go to the pureed stage at 4 weeks.  Email the dietician if you want to be sure, but Dr E didn't have a problem with it.

Yeah, my dietician approved me to go to pureed 4 days earlier. Im just getting bored. I printed off a ton of recipes but I will end up pureeing them I bet. I just am discouraged, Im not seeing the weight loss and wondering if this is something I really should have done. I exercise DAILY, I take my vitamins, I get a little below in protein, but am taking in fluids and still seeing no difference. I havent been jumping on the scale daily either. I just feel blah.

The way you are feeling is perfectly normal.  Stick with what you are doing and you will see the results.
It takes our new system some time to get everything back to normal.  There are some days even being a year out that I do not get everything in.......and I have yet to get my 100 pounds goal.
I PROMISE, you will start losing again.....your body is just taking a breather and getting ready for the next sprint to the finish line!!!!!!

Hope this helps....contact me whenever you need to.

Hugs,
Holly

Please don't worry about the weight loss, it has only been 3 weeks.  May I suggest that you stay off the scales?  I only weighed when I was in Indy and could use "my official scales".  That way I always saw large losses and didn't sweat the stalls.  Now that I am 2.5 years out I do weigh nearly every day - I need to keep track but, you don't have to do that yet...........  Just my suggestion.  Good luck in your journey!
