Thursday Thursday.....

Just wanted to start this morning's thread since I'm up still. We had a busy day yesterday and I got home and decided to start cleaning. I have just bout got my dining room picked up and less cluttered. I'm sooooo tired though. Today theres not much happening. Same ol same ol really. I'll probally sleep in  because I'm soooo sleepy. Other than that I think I'll finish my cleaning and we may go to the city pool since Rich has to help run a radio remote from there.

Today is moving day for us, into our new, permanent apartment. I will be happy to be there. Of course, since I just had my perforated ulcer surgery, today will be watching day for me, since I can't move boxes or furniture. Lucky for me? Maybe. I do hate moving, but I would rather not have had the ulcer!

Good morning everyone!!  I got my preop tests back and all are ok, the doc. told me to quit taking my metformin because I don't need it anymore!!  I was on the borderline needing it before, my family doc. just told me to keep taking it just incase my triglicerytes got high again. The surgeons office is supposed to call me today with a surgery date. I hope to get it for the 25th of this month, my husbands family from Texas is coming on the 27th, so if I have it the 25th we will be on vacation the week his family is here, even though I won't feel like it is a vacation..lol!! We have been looking for a Jeep wrangler for $2000 or under, my husband is driving me crazy talking about this!  He wants one so bad that he is willing to get a stick, and he don't even know how to drive a stick!  I told him to just wait until an automatic comes along.  When he wants something he is like a little kid!! I understand just what you are saying about your hubby. Mine is now 52 (he likes older women!) and he is the same way. It just drives me nuts. I tell him that he is doing it just to wear me down and it isn't going to work anymore because I am not going to give in to him anymore on that subject. He is on a truck or motorcycle thing now and I am about ready to let him have a truck in the mouth! A great big semi at that! But it seems to me that men have a hard time waiting.

Good morning everyone!  Another busy day here. It's great! I FINALLY feel like I am back to work! Woo-hoo! At least it keeps me from falling asleep when I've had a bad night of sleeping. Last night wasn't good..again. In my sleep, I kept trying to roll onto my side. Well...it feels like everything is trying to 'fall out' if I'm not laying flat on my back..much like it felt with the hernia. With the hernia, it didn't hurt, just made me queezy. This now though does hurt, so it kept waking me up. I don't know why my body kept insisting on going to the side. I use to sleep on my side all the time but you'd think that after not being able to since October, my body (and my brain!) would be use to the idea by now! Maybe tonight I'l be tired enough that my body will be content on it's back! I hope so anyway.                                           Ellen...I'm sorry we keep missing each other. I'll try to give you a call here in a little bit. Oh..did you read the post about going to Ted's Montana Grill tonight for dinner? Bill has an eye appointment at 4:45 so we'll be there ~5:30-6. Floyd & Brenda are going too. Anyone else who'd like to go too are welcome! It's off of 31. Turn west at the light where the big Chinese restaurant (It's 1-2 lights north of St. Vincent Carmel) is on the north-east side of the road.  Talk to you in a little bit!                            Gail..the IT guy is suppose to be here from 10:30-11:30 so it'll be a little bit after that when I get out for lunch. Good morning all.  I have been very busy the past few days, and haven't had time to get in here.  I had my 6 month check-up yesterday!!!  My dr said that I am at his goal!!!!!  Of course, he was so shocked about how I looked!  He said that if I hadn't had my glasses on, he wouldn't have known me!!!  We talked for about 15 minutes just about all my previous co-morbs, and I have absolutely none now!  He is very pleased with the results!  He also said that I don't have to lose any more weight.  I just now need to work on maintaining where I am....so he put me on his maintinence program........which most of his patients don't go on until 1 year out.  Talk about exciting!   We went fishing last night!  I haven't been fishing in about 12 years, and had a blast!  We went to Patoka lake with a friend, and we all 3 caught 1 catfish each.  Of course, we only kept 1, because the others were all too small.  That just means we will have to go sometime again and catch some bigger ones! I found out yesterday that I will be buying a truck from my neighbor.  He is an elderly man, and he doesn't need his truck anymore, so he is just going to let me make payments to him, and all he wants is the payoff. It is only a few years old, and doesn't have many miles on it at all and it is in great shape. It is a Dodge Ram.........the BIG one!!!  I am so excited!  I will have it paid off by the end of the year!  He said that I can just pay him directly, and then he will keep it in his name until I have it paid off.  It is insured, and already have new tags on it, so that is all I need to do.  I have wanted a truck for years again after selling my fathers 9 years ago!  I can't wait!  Hope everyone has a great day.  I haven't got anything planned for a change, so I may get my bathing suit on and just lay out in the sun for awhile.  I want to get as dark as I can before my reunion now!  hehe! Hey LaChelle not to bust your bubble or anything but my dh had a big dodge truck and they not only get really po******ilage but the are know to have transmission failure. Just a word to the wise watch out for Tranny troubles. Michelle

Thanks for the heads up, Michelle.  I am still keeping my car that gets awesome milage.  I just know I need one to have here in the hills during the winter.  Being on the highest peak in southern IN, it has its "UPS AND DOWNS" so to speak! LOL  It is just going to be mainly a winter weather truck to make sure I can get back and forth to work without any trouble.  And, if we get to go camping, we can just stuff all the junk in the back, and not worry about running out of room! Good morning everyone Today is a stay at home and clean the house day.lol My cuz gave my son a new puppy a full blooded doberman but boy does she have accidents so im gonna clean the carpets to deter her from going on them..what fun but she is cute. My older son is cleaning out the garage so he can put his new baby (71 chevelle) in there.. Misty i know what your saying about being tired we run all weekend we have 2 cookouts and a car show this weekend and someone is always stoppin by,which i enjoy,but by nite time im draggin. Sherry i so wished you felt better enjoy your dinner out. Linda glad you got a new place but you take it easy ok. LaChelle way to go and your reward besides being healthy and looking wonderful is a dodge ram.... everyone have a great day and stay safe. Well, good morning to all.  It is a sunny day and at times it clouds up. It was in the low 70's this morning when I was on my way to the office. I just hope that the humidity doesn't keep mounting like it has the last few days but something seems to tell me hoping isn't going to make it come true. :-( I am sitting here in the office with really nothing to do. Pastor e-mailed me late yesterday and told me that he had to go to his dad's today (in Cincinatti Ohio) and that if he wasn't back by Sunday Bob was going to do the service. He told me to hold out on the scriptures in the bulletin. I called Jeri and told her and I told her that I had the bulletin done and mailed out to the litergist for Sunday. I was soooo angry. I am just going to keep the ones that I did and tell Bob on Sunday if he does the service they were already done and I wasn't wasting any more paper. To bad, so sad! Part of the reason I was so angry is that Pastor is suppose to tell me these things first since I am chairperson on Pastor Staff Relations committee. He is suppose to clear everything through me first and he just won't do it anymore for some reason. I am going to have to have a talk with him when he gets back. So now I am not expecting him in the office tomorrow either. Oh well. There isn't anything that I can do about it now. But today is just a boring day at the Porter United Methodist Church office!  I am not sure just what I am going to do today after Bill goes to work. I think that I might go to Wal Mart and look for some more capris. The ones that I have now are 16-18's and they are way to big. I look stupid in them or at least I think I do. I think that I am going to need 12-14's. I have to try them on and see. I personally like the streach ones with just a bit of elastic in the back. I don't like waitbands and they bother my scar from the surgery too. The scar is about 6" long and it is driving me nuts. Sometimes it just itches so bad that I wish I had a brush but there is no way that is going to happen. haha I guess I had better get going. I am keeping everyone in my prayers and special ones are being said for those in need of them. I send all love and big hugs for a special and memorable day for all. Make happy memories today since we aren't going to have another Wednesday July 10th of 2008!!
