You will need to call them. It depends on what coverage the Employer bought for the employee's to participate in. So your best bet is to just call the customer service number and ask them about your policy specifically. Good Luck! Jodi

I have Anthem Blue Cross and my husband and I have both had gastric bypass. He was approved very quickly. But it depends on your employer and the provisions in your policy. If you contact the hospital you want to have surgery at, they usually have an informational seminar and then they will help you through all the insurance stuff. Good luck
