Saturday!!!!

Good morning all!  I just got home from work and figured I would get on and see if there is anyone up.  Guess not, so I figured I would at least start the morning thread. Hope everyone enjoyed their 4th!  It was really busy at the casino.  We had some very nice fireworks.  I was lucky enough to get to watch the final 10 minutes of them anyway.  The finalie was awesome! Hope the rest of you had a safe one.  I didn't do a darn thing other than nap! HEHE   I am going to head to bed now........so have a wonderful day all.  I will try to pop on later this afternoon.  Enjoy all the yardsales for me!  Take care! TTYL

We will have our family gathering/ birthday party for my granddaughters today.  I have been keeping them since Thursday night. Its my job to make the hush puppies for today and I keep thinking I can't make them ahead and take them so I will have to go buy a fryer to use at the shelter house.  I love kitchen gadgets but really have no place to store them ugh ugh ugh.   We went to the city park last night and watched the fireworks, they were really nice and even my 14 year old son admitted to having fun lol.

Good morning!                    Oh am I tired this morning! Our neighborhood was so noisy last night. I know the law says that the fireworks can go on until midnight but I think it was closer to 1 when it started dying down some. They were so loud, it sounded like they were right in our bedroom. I finally got up & started looking to see where the sparks were...at least a block away! I can only imagine how loud they were right next to them. The people across the street had been shooting off some too until about 10....~10 feet from the RV! So...I gotta go out and check pretty soon to be sure none of them damaged it. They have a little boy that is about 10 who is handicapped & in a wheelchair. While they were shooting of theirs (pretty mild compared to those at 1 AM), I got a kick out of watching their some from my doorway. He got such a big thrill out of each one and was trying to clap his poor arms together in excitement and trying to jump up & down in his chair. I know that had to touch his parents heartstrings cause I know it did mine and I never actually 'met' the child.                                                           We enjoyed our time with the grandkids yesterday. They were so talkative that we really spent little time with their parents..lol. It's funny to try to see things from their view. Chance had asked Tiffany was the big thing about 4th of July was so she told him that it was our countries 232nd birthday. Out of the mouth of babes...'Is that older than Daddy?'. Hahaha!! Ummm...only by 200 years! To a 7 year older though, ANY age with 2 digits in it is 'old' so even a 10 yr older is 'ole' to Chance! LOL!                                                Good news! It looks like I'm going to get away with not having to replace my cell phone! YEAH!! It still looks a little damp behind the screen but all the functions are working so far that I can tell.                                           Well all..have a terrific day!                        Sherri

Good Morning Family, I have been ill since Thrusday night. I did get my hair cut and a few light & low lights put in. For some strange reason my hair took the low lights. I don't have my bright "RED" hair. YES!!! But thats not what made me ill. My SIL bought some of those DQ dilly bars, No sugar added he wanted to sursprize me, he gave me one opened and I tried it. In a few I got so ill .He looked on the package and they had Aspertame in them, Soo no 4th fun for me I was to sick. No grandkids they went to their dad's  I  was sad I really wanted to see them sick or not. Sherri, happy about your phone.I hope everyone's day is a fun filled or resting from the neightbors firechackers ours lasted till after 2:00 am. Good Mornin' all,  Bella and I are headin' off to the Grocery. I work at 3:00, made breakfast and I need to clean my house, so nothin' exciting here. It was pretty quiet around my hous elastnight. I think I got home about 1130 and I heard like 2 fireworks and that was it. I slept like a baby. I missed the fireworks with my faily at hummel park in Plainfield but OH WELL. I saw a few from the backdoor of DQ from Pioneer Park in Mooresville but I wanted to get my work done so I could get outta there, so I just listened to the big booms! Have a great day!!! SHanna 

Good morning all. I just got in here under the wire too. In a few minutes I would have had to say Good afternoon.  I only have a few minutes to chat. We are going to my cousins house and then the 4 of us are going to see the Porter parade. After that  is done and gone we are going to Porter park to the sesquicentennial celebration. Porter is 150 years old.  Nothing much is going on. Yesterday we had a wonderful time at my cousins house. Got caught up on all the kids and grands. We had so much fun. We finally got home after 7 last night.  We were going to watch the fireworks out in front of the building but by the time they were going to start we were both to tired to go and look. haha We got to see a few of them out the sliding glass door and heaven only knows we heard enough of them. Some of them were soooo loud. We went to bed and I went to sleep fairly fast and then heard nothing at all. Bill ended up in the recliner since he couldn't sleep. I know it was from the fireworks going off. Misty sat at the sliding door and watched the fireworks. She had a wonderful evening. haha I better get going. I have to be in Porter in a half hour. I am sending love and hugs to all with prayers going up. Special prayers for those in need of them. I hope you are feeling better today, Gail. You really have to watch those sugar free and no sugar added foods.

Well today is my last day off of work.  Ive been on sick leave due to acute tendonitis in my left thumb/wrist.  Its been very painful for the last 5 weeks so I finally had to go to dr and get some meds for it.  Its not been fun...really messed up my entire holiday weekend. 

Im looking forward to getting my TT soon.  I should have a date this next week.  The sooner the better.  I have such gross hanging skin....esp in that panni and midriff area.
