Good morning all you sleepyheads! I thought for sure a thread would had been started already. I guess that means some of you were able to get some sleep last night. I hope that's what it means anyway!                                             I received several Elf E-mails so far. I will start replying to them either tonight or in the morning.                               My appointment yesterday with Dr. Bergman went fine. She drained 8 cc out of that place on my leg. That was lower than 2 weeks ago..which was 10 cc's. She put some silver nitrate on both of the places that are open on my tummy. I go back in another 2 weeks. Since that place on my leg is filling back up, it'll be a repeat of yesterday. At least this time it took about 6 hours to start filling up..before, it would start by the time we got home from her office!                      Today, Bill has an appointment at Dr. Price's office. He has a condition that he's had since birth (anaritia) which causes a host of problems. Amongst them, it mimics glaucoma so he battles high pressure in his eye. He can tell that the pressure is 'really high' right now. As his allergy list grows longer, not sure of what all they can try now to lower the pressure. We shall see.                                   Because of Bill's appointment, I would have had to leave by 2 today. I decided to leave at noon instead so Gail & I can go have lunch first! LOL! So....If anyone would like to meet us at the Madison Grill (Troy & Madison...aka N East/N 31), we'll be there ~12:15-12:30.                       You all have a really good day today!                 Sherri

Good morning all! Not much going on with me today except work. I had to work 15 hours yesterday. Didnt get home until about 10 pm and had to be back in here at 7am.  I did not want to get up! It is dreary here this morning. It is raining now!  I hope the sun comes out sometime today.  I now now what you all mean when you say you are cold all the time.  I freeze constantly. I run my little space heater in my office almost all day. It is insane!  Winter is not going to be fun at all. I used to love winter too.   My husband has not said a lot about me losing weight and then last night I walked out in just a T-shirt and he said out of the blue "I think you need to stop losing weight now, you are looking anorexic"  I told him no I am not and I have 5 more lbs to go then I will stop.....lol.....jeesh men! Hope all has a good day and send some heat my way...lol

Good morning to all my fellow Hoosier's Losers and soon to be losers. I am sitting here in the peace of my little home and loving it. I am so enjoying the quiet and the peace. No phone is ringing and no one is here and Bill is still in bed since the terrible night and so it is quiet and I am just thank God that it something that I can enjoy.  Did I have a terrible night last night or what? I had the meeting at the church last night and I left the church at 7:40 and I finally got home at 11:00. And no....the traffic wasn't bad either! haha I thought that I had better get gas on my way home just in case the price goes up for the 4th, so I pulled into the station down the road from me. I got the gas and went to start the car and it would do almost nothing. I got the sound of the key beeping but only faintly and the only thing on the dash that came on was the check engine soon light and that was something you could hardly see either. I tired it a couple of times and then thought I better stop doing that. lol I called home hoping that Bill was home early and no answer. I called our nephew David and finally he got Bill. Bill calls me and tells me he is on the way to the station. He tries to jump it and nothing. Then before I know it a cluster of men around the hood~they flock there like birds I swear! They see a open hood and it is like a magnet. lol Finally a guy says that he is a mechanic and he will see what is wrong. We keep trying to jump it and finally the mechanic says that he sees the problem. The terminal on the battery has blown out. GREAT! So off to get a new battery we go. Well, $100 later we are back at the gas station putting the new battery on. I got home and almost kissed the ground! Jeese what a night. I don't want to repeat that one again.  The sun is shinning so nice this morning. If it rained I never heard it at all. But then again when I got home from the fiasco last night my back was hurting so bad I wanted to scream. I took a HOT shower and 2 mind you, muscle relaxers. I finally fell asleep at about 2 this morning but when I slept it was like there was nothing in this world. Could be why I never heard any rain. But then again I am not sure if it rained or not! haha I am not planning to much today. I might go up to the hospital. Bill's cousin is in the ICU. She was taken there the day before yesterday with double pneumonia and sepsis. They were saying that they didn't know if she was even going to live but finally last night she did improve some. So I am hoping that things are finally going to turn around for her. I am not sure if they are still talking the ventalator or not now. They were forcing O2 down her and said that if that didn't work they were going to do the vent. I haven't heard anything so far this morning. She wa**** by a car several years ago at a gas station and she nearly lost her leg from that. She had a terrible time and had several surgeries and ended up in a nursing home for a few months with the leg problem too. She has been through so much. I would appreciate it if you could all keep her in your prayers.  I better go. I have been rambleing and I am sure that you are all rolling your eyes right about now. I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers are going up for everyone too, with special ones for those who need them.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Brenda..It must be bad battery week! Sunday, we were going to go meet Floyd & Brenda for dinner, tried to start the truck and nothing except 'click-click-click'. Bill put the charger on it and the lights would come on WITH the charger, but not without it. It wouldn't start, period. The terminals had alot of acid build-up so we tried to use a little pepsi (no Coke in the house!) to clean them off. We couldn't get the bolts off though! Darn thing takes some weird size of rachet..like a 13/32 or something. So..we had to wait until the next day and have it towed..to which I was charged $63 for the tow, $42 for them to check the battery, and $114 (or was it $112???) for the new battery. So...be glad for that magnet! We have a guy accross the street that tinkers with cars and he never came over. That was strange cause usually we can't change the wipers unless he's right there.  I'm glad you made it back on the road safe & sound..and WAY cheaper than I made it back on the road for! It's an important reminder to keep those jumper cables in your vehicle all the time, not just in the winter!               Sherri

Good morning to all.  Newby here and 5 days before the birth of my "baby pouch".  Nervous, but am getting more positive each day.  I've been lurking these boards for some time and finally decided to join in the conversations.  Wishing you all a great 4th of July!  Jackie
