Insurance woes... need some encouragement

I called Anthem this morning to inquire about my pre-cert.  They say they don't show anything but they are really behind in processing.  It has been 4-5 weeks since Dr. Evanson's office submitted my paperwork.  The lady at Anthem wasn't surprise, she just kept saying that they are behind....sigh. Is there anything else I can do?  Or do I just have to sit and wait.

Which type of Anthem do you have?  I have Blue Access.  I am getting ready to submit by the end of this week.

You need to keep calling and calling and calling...everyday...I have Anthem Blue Cross and the first few times they kept telling me they didn't have anything for me...well finally after I started calling them every day...the found it and I finally got to talk to a caseworker who found my paperwork.  She approved me 3 days later. You just have to stay on them and on them...they will get tired of hearing from you and will figure you aren't going away and they WILL find it.  Good luck....

Hi Dani, I'm with you girl.  I called and called and after 4 weeks was told I was denied.  UGH!  I'll keep my fingers crossed that you have better luck than I did,

I have Anthem and I kept calling them every few days.  After two weeks I called my surgeon's office and told them that Anthem was still saying that they hadn't received my paperwork.  The surgeon's office re-faxed my info to a supervisor at Anthem and I got approval the very next day.  Might be worth a try to contact your surgeon and see if they could do something like that.  Best of luck!  Melissa

Same thing happened with me that happened with Mommylissa. Some times they have to resend it to a supervisor but keep bugging them Dani!
