I'm 10 weeks out today, and down 36.4 pounds...I'm 4.6 pounds from ONEderland!!! I never thought I'd be here, just a little over two months out from surgery.  My goal had been to hit onederland by July 4th, but I'm OK if I don't make that goal...I'm so close, and I'm wearing clothing sizes I haven't worn in 15+ years!  Some recents WOW's.... clothes shopping last Friday at Kohls...I can now wear size 16 REGULAR...not 16 womens or plus, but REGULAR MISSES size 16!! I haven't worn that since I was probably 21 years old! I was a size 22 before surgery, some 24s. I've lost 40 inches....that's more than THREE FEET!!!! Feeling my ribs... Seeing my collarbones start to show up again... I have veins on the tops of my feet! They've been hidden by fat for years! My wedding ring needs a guard to stay on my finger My energy levels are through the roof! I can now RUN during my trekking class at the YMCA, and yesterday I ran a 1 minute sprint at 5.5 mph on a 4.5 incline.  WOO!!! I can go 30 minutes on the elliptical and then do a 30 minute trekking class of incline and speed sprints, then still come home and mow the yard.  I've entered a 3 mile race for this Saturday.  We entered as walkers, but still...I intend to finish middle of the pack for my age group (30-39, I'll be 37 next month). My new attitude? "Sure, I'll try it!" when it comes to activity or outings....Trekking? Sure I'll try it! yank up carpeting in two rooms? Sure I'll try it! Ride my bike to my brother's house 2 miles away? Sure! Ride our bikes to the city park 2 miles away? Sure!

This surgery has totally changed my life.  My entire outlook has changed for the better, and my husband says my attitude is so awesome he can't believe how much I've changed!  Edited to correct my inches lost...I forgot to count BOTH arms and legs! LOL

Nice to see you Amy, I have been wondering how you are getting along since you had your surgery.  I hope that my experience will be as positive as yours!! Jeannie
