Holiday World...Please read

Ok. I've officially heard from Holiday World about Friday.  I'm pasting in the message and will add the "rain check policy".  I signed a form stating that everyone in my party will be informed of these things so consider yourself informed.  Here's the first part:

Hello Jacqui,

 

 

We will have a table set-up for you at the front gate. 

 

In regards to time, our front gates open at 9:00am central time.  The rides in Holiday World open at 9:30 and in Splashin' Safari at 10:30.

 

Your guests will need to pay you directly.  If they write a check it will need to be made out to your organization.  We will invoice you on Monday for the tickets redeemed...and that payment will need to be paid in one lump sum. 

 

We will not be able to run credit cards for you.  And, I would suggest they pay you with check...so you don't have to worry about making change for everyone.

 

I have attached an agreement for your outing.  Please sign the two sheets and fax or email the documents back to me (fax 812-937-5291).

When these documents have been received I will print your tickets.  I will have those ready for you to pick-up at Guest Relations on Friday.  That area also opens at 9:00am.

Group Sales Coordinator Here's the rain check policy:  If during your visit, a Lightning and/or Wind Level is called (when rides are shut down for safety reasons due to weather) AND you decide to leave for the day, stop at the Guest comments window at Guest Relations BEFORE you leave and we will be happy to issue a complimentary tiket for you to return this season.  Tickets will NOT be issued for any of the above if less than 2 hours prior to Holiday World closing.  Tickets will NOT be issued after 30 minutes have passed following the conclusion of the weather event.  Everyone in your party MUST be present to receive a ticket.  Next Day tickets WILL NOT BE REFUNDED, however we will be happy to issue a ticket for another day during our current operating season.  THIS POLICY DOES NOT APPLY TO SEASON PASS HOLDERS.  Please remember Holiday World & Splashin' Safari do not close due to inclement weather.  Indoor Showes, Games, Restaurants are still available.  Rides may temporarily close for your safety, but will reopen as soon as possible.  Please listen for PA announcements for updated weather conditions. I need to know what time everyone wants to meet to get their tickets.  I'm thinking I should be at the gate by 9:00 when they open to get our tickets and everyone else can come between 9:30 and 10:00.  As suggested by Holiday World, if you can please write a check for your tickets, it will make it easier for me.  Just make them out to Jacqui Duncan and I'll write one check for all the tickets on Monday. Also, please post on here again if you plan to come and how many will be with you.  I told them between 35 and 50 but want to make sure I have enough. Whoops...sorry about that.  I thought it was on the message I got from Tammy.  We pay $26.95 per person. 

I'm thinking breakfast at Santa's Lodge at 8:00 a.m. (CST).  Does that sound ok with everyone?

Just let me know.  I haven't got times set in stone yet. Here's an edit:  I just got off the phone with my friend who is the manager of St. Nick's Restaurant in Santa's Lodge.  He said he'll give those of us who have already had bariatric surgery a discount on the breakfast buffet.  It will only cost us $2.95 per person!  What a great guy.

This sounds like so much fun.  I mainly lurk on the Indiana board but have posted every now and then. Unfortunately I just returned to work last Friday so there is no way I could be off this Friday. Is this an annual event?  Thanks

Jacqui...I got our check wrote!                   Everyone...I received the following from Cindy Perry. If you need to reserve your room yet, contact me ASAP and I'll give you Cindy's phone number!                 Sherri                          I had also planned on going to the Holiday World outing and even reserved a double room at the Comfort Inn, but we are going to have to cancel that.  Our washer decided to go out when we got back and now I have to get it fixed.  So, if you know of anyone that needs a room at the Comfort Inn, I'm going to wait until Wednesday to cancel ours.  Just let me know if someone needs it and maybe we can get the reservation transferred to their name.  You had better call me at work (***-****) though, because I may not get a chance to get back online for a while.  Talk to you again soon.

Jacqui, We are confirmed for 2, with a possible of 4 more coming if they are back home in time. Will this be a problem for your calculations of tickets to give them?  If so, I am sorry.  I should know something tomorrow at the very latest. I will let you know as soon as I know positively. Also, I will bring a check with me made out directly to you.  Thank you again so much for getting this ready for us. This is going to be such a wonderful time!   Breakfast at 8 am is fine with us. I love their breakfast! LOL  And what a nice discount your friend gave us! Are we planning on meeting for lunch somewhere, or is it just  a"fend for ourselves" kind of lunch!?!?  Just wondered.  I read Jodi's post about the different types of food available, and know that Jimmy and I will just share a meal if necessary. Or, for that matter, we could share a meal between several of us! LOL I just can't wait! I already have my bag packed with my bathingsuit and towel, and I am ready to go right now! LOL I don't know about the rest of the gang on here, but I am really planning on having a BLAST!!!  Thanks again for making this possible! We all really appreciate it!

LaChelle, I'm planning on having a BLAST too!  I can't wait to ride the Legend!   It doesn't matter if I know exactly how many are coming.  I just want to make sure I have enough tickets at the table so I'm not running all over the place and making people wait on account of my scatter brainedness (is that a word?!?)  lol! Breakfast Friday morning at 8 sounds great...that is 9 our time....right?                                   For dinner Tomorrow night at Buffalo Run, it'll probably be ~6-7 THEIR time. Brenda & Floyd won't be heading down until they get off of work. I sent Floyd a note & asked him to give me a ring when they have a good idea of their arrival time for dinner. Call me on my cell # (on the Directory..contact me ASAP if you don't have it) after say 5 to get a better idea of time. Of course, we can always meet a little earlier & visit until Floyd & Brenda makes it in.                                                                                         The times we've been to Holiday World (once a year for this will be the 4th year), I never have any trouble finding something I can eat. They are really better about that than many of the 'local' parks. See you soon! Sherri
