TGIF!!!! It's Friday!!!

I figured that since I am up so early and getting ready to leave for the track, I would start the morning thread.  I will be offline until later tomorrow night, so if anyone needs me for absolutely ANYTHING, please call my cell.......its in the directory! Today is the day of the Relay for Life!  I am so excited, I can't stand myself!  If you all would, please keep me in your thoughts and prayers today, tonight, and tomorrow.  This is just an enormous event and I am so happy to be able to participate in it, and make a difference!  Also, again, thank you all that have made donations in my name, it means so much! God bless all those that are newly Hoosier Losers, and for those that are about to start their journey! Keep all those safe that are still dealing with the flooding.  You all are still in my thoughts and prayers as well. Have a wonderful weekend. LaChelle- you go girl- I am here cheering you on- & am with you every step of the way! My SIl is grateful for every bit of help the cancer society has done for her (ovarian) so I walk/walked for her & all those other family members/friends also. God is with you every step of the way!!

Lachelle- You go girl! I hope the weather stays nice for you. I am in a bit of a tizzy because of these gas prices. We were going to take our car to the Wabash car show, but since the stupid gas prices shot up to $4.19 we arent going to be able to unless they happen to go back down. Our car is a gas hog and it would cost us about $70.00 in gas to get there and back.  I was looking forward to it and seeing Janene.  Oh well, I guess. Nothing I can do about it. We may go to a closer car show I dont know. Anyway nothing else much going on. Keeping all of you in my prayers on this approaching storm today. Some of you have had enough rain.  It needs to chill out a bit now. Everyone have a great day.

Morning everyone,   I couldn't sleep very well last night- my tooth broke into 5 pcs. when the surgeon was trying to get it our,so my lower jaw is so sore/in pain. My upper is as well- but the diff. is my new temp. plate is in- just can't bite on it or- yowzer! I was amazed I didn't feel a thing, when the person next to me was very verbal- grunts/groans. I t took 1/12 hrs to get mine out- poor Dr. my stubborn tooth put him alittle behind - but he never complained!!!  I am going up in alittle while to have them check them & take stitches out. Thank goodness for yogurt & my protien shakes- they got me through.Plus, gotta work today,so I hope to be able to talk/smile!My tounge still feels like it weighs 50#!!!  i just heard that FEMA is going to be checking out the areas that were hit with all the storms/floods today , and starting their process- everyone that has suffered a loss, get your info documented & get it to them.I /we are all praying for you!  MommaLissa, welcome to the bench ~~and all you newly post -opts,welcome, welcome! We are so glad you are here and are in your corner. Good morning all!  LaChelle..good luck today girl! Good luck today! Ellen..So sorry about your tooth. At least with my mouth, when things happen, I usually don't have any complications to happen. I was telling Bill about All Care. We're going to see if there's one on this side of town.   Jenny...We can definately relate to the gas prices. Bill decided to reserve a room at Santa's Lodge at $109/night rather than us drive the RV down and stay at Lake Rudolf for half the price because he estimated that it would cost ~$200 or so just in gas for the RV. It'll still probably cost ~$70-100 in my SUV.  Don't forget to make your reservations everyone!! For what? Well..first there is Holiday World that Jacqui has working to arrange. See her thread on it from a few days ago. And then on August 8-9th is the 2nd Annual OH Indiana Campout. It's at our Hope & Peter's KOA up in Middlebury. Be sure you tell them that you are with the OH group to get a discount..and to be placed close to everyone else! There's RV sites, tent sites...and there 'was' cabins & lodges..but it's my understanding that those are getting booked up quick!  Well...no medical news yet. I'll let you know when there is. In the meantime..day 4 of mega laxatives with no effect. just the constant diarrhea, as has been 'norm' since October. At least today I'm a bit more comfortable..I'm wearing my overalls so I have room for my swelling belly. lol!                  No big plans for the weekend as of yet except taking the grandsons to get their haircut. Next weekend is the girls turn! Oh boy!! LOL!                     Have a peachy day! Sherri

Sherri, Sorry I haven't called you back.  We were in Dayton last weekend and Brenda is still there for training.  She won't get home until next Friday.  She's not coming home this weekend because of the gas prices.  I just got off the phone with Hope.  She's got a cabin for us for Friday night, but nothing for Saturday, so it may be a short weekend for us.  She's got us on a waiting list for Saturday in case there's a cancellation.  She said there's a B&B near, but with CJ that's not an option either.  Oh well, that's what I get for not keeping up with the boards.  I need to get my reservation for Holiday World tonight.  We're hoping to go up Thursday night, so will need a hotel room for Thursday and Friday night.  I'll try to call you this weekend.  Everytime I think about calling you, it's too late at night.  LOL  Happy Friday at last.  Been working overtime every day.  Best time to do it while Brenda is gone.....and we just got our first payment coupon for the new car.  Overtime money will come in handy. Floyd, Bill reminded me about Brenda's training....after I left that phone message. lol. When she gets back in town, give me a call & we can go out for dinner..k? I haven't made our reservations officially for Hope's yet. We were kinda waiting to see what Dr. Gupta plans to do. Depending on their cancellation policy though, we will probably go ahead and do that this weekend. Since you guys got a cabin, I'm gonna ask Gail if she'd like to go & bunk on our pull-out. I think she'd really enjoy going. I hope there's a cancellation so you guys get to stay both nights. Shoot..that'd be lousy to have to leave early on Saturday night!!  We did reserve for Holiday World but we went with Santa's Lodge. The Comfort Inn that Jacqui made the deal with is in Rockport..about 20 miles from Holiday World. The guy on the phone told Bill that it took 30-45 to get to Holiday World from there. That was all it took for Bill to go with Santa's Lodge! LOL! I don't know if they..or the close Comfort Inn..either one allows pets. Sherri

Hello Everyone.

I've got a headache the size of Texas!!! I don't know if it's my sinuses or because of the increase of my Lyrica medication. Either way it's driving me insane. Ugh!!

LaChelle - what you are doing today and tomorrow is amazing. Thankfully I was in a place with my cancer where I didn't need the help of donations from the cancer society locally - but the fact that it's there its mind comforting. Both doctors have told me I'm clear for now but the type of cells I had in my cancer says I'm in increased odds of getting cancer again. So - until then I'm gonna do what I can to educate about Uterine/Cervical cancer, preventative care for this type of cancer, and of course helping to raise funds for the Cancer Society and other charities that help with cancer patients. Next year our local Special Olympics is gonna sponsor me for our cancer charity walk. I'm excited to be able to do that. You are amazing in that you are so passionate about this. God Bless You!

Besides Holiday World and Middlebury Camping - those of you that got invitations to my wedding, don't forget to send in those RSVP cards. The majority of my family won't be coming down from Michigan (due to gas prices and hotel prices), so I'm really hoping my friends fill up some of the seats on my side, hahaha! If you didn't get an invitation but are interested in coming, please PM me and let me know.

It's the Strawberry Festival here in Crawfordsville for the weekend. Saturday night they are shutting down a street because one of the bars is sponsoring a big party with a live band and discounted drinks. I'm gonna try to get Matt to go. Poor guy has been working 12 hour shifts for three weeks now, sometimes including Saturdays. He needs a break and the street closing party sounds like something he'd enjoy. Anyone not doing anything this weekend should come on up and check out the Strawberry festival. It's pretty awesome. Car Show. Craft Booths. Antiques(sp?). A children's play area with lots of neat games. In general just a really great festival. So come on out if you can.
