UGH

How disappointing, I called the insurance company today, and guess what...my paper work is still NOT DONE!!  Well, I've had it,  it's been two weeks and I'm so over the waiting.  Guess I'll be calling them every couple of days until it gets finished.  Does anyone know if Carmel Surgical will let you schedule your surgery before they hear from insurance.  The insurance lady asked me something like "Do you have a date that this needs to be done by so you don't have to cancel?" If they do, I'll call and schedule my surgery and call her back up and say "HEY LADY...here's my date, get it done!" UGH...I'm so impatient.

You have to have approval before a date with Carmel Surgical specialists... They wont even schedule a date til they have written approval.

Before u get to upset.  Carmel Specialists, do put in a fake date on the paper work they submitted for you.  Once you get your approval it can take one to two weeks for them to get back to you with your real surgery date.  I know its hard but just relax....this stuff all takes time.  I know it took me 2 months to get my approval and my date.  It seem like a yr...but it does get here...just dont let it get u upset....that never helps.   Good luck,  Just take a deep breath.

It does take time....it took me nine months from start to fini**** takes others longer. Some get approved within days...remember this is a life long thing...meaning it will be with you FOREVER.  When I was waiting I kept thinking..it is never gonna happen, its all over. Now that I am schedualed and look back, I have decided it happened at the right time for the right reasons. I hit alot of wierd bumps but something always made sense afterwards as to why I hadnt been approved yet. Just breath and when you hear the words "You are approved" you can waste your energy on hooting and hollering and jumping up and down! Good luck! Lisa K

I was the exact same way as you.  You say it has been 2 weeks, but it seems like 2 months.  After you get approved, you will look back and think that wasnt so long after all.   Everyday I would wake up, thinking today is the day and by the end of the day I was bummed.  Then I would wake up the next day all excited again. Finally, it did happen.   I called my insurance company every other day I think.  I know they were sick of me. Try and be patient and just go day by day. You will get the call. Jenny
