Anesthesiology Bill

Margie received a bill from the hospital for her recent surgery, and was astonished to see a $1200 fee for the anesthesiologist. She called his office to demand an explanation. "Is this some kind of mistake?" Margie asked when she got the doctor on the phone. "No, not at all," the doctor said calmly. "Well," said Margie, "that's awfully costly for knocking someone out." "Not at all," replied the doctor. "I knock you out for free. The 1200 dollars is for bringing you back around."

Oh Brother, Dan~ ain't it the truth??!!!!! I sure got a laugh and a few tears out of this one!  I am getting my bills from my stitches removal surgery- and  the ins. decided not to pay a good apart of it, our deductible went way up-so I'm feeling the pinched right now! Anyone know of a good part-time job I can get? That, and I'm thinking of selling my Lonagaberger baskets on Ebay- a girl has to be able to pay those bills! I may have to check out the local stores and see if they have something available for seasonal help. Dang Dr. /HOSPITAL BILLS!!!! ((hugs)) Ellen

I joked with my gyn one time before surgery that he was my new best friend (he was doing surgery to remove a fibroid that was causing me a lot of pain). He told me no, my new best friend was the anesthesiologist because he was the one who would make sure I didn't feel anything he was doing. I had to agree.
