I'm not sure who was going to post if they had heard from Jo.  Has she had the baby yet?

After arriving at the hospital. Using a half bag of pitocin to induce my labor. No sleep. Having my membranes scraped. I sadly must report that I never dialted and I never had any contractions and so yesterday evening around 6 pm they sent me home. I am so dissappointed and frustrated. I know this is part of nature's will and my body telling me it's just not time - but gosh all mighty it's such a dissappointing feeling. So Quinntin is still holding my uterus hostage. He was very very active the whole entire stay at the hospital, impressed the nurses. I just wished he was here. So what's next? I continue to go to the OB each week to be checked until I have him. My "official" due date is next Wednesday. If I haven't had him by ten days after that date then they'll do a C-section to get him out. The midwife and I are still hopefull that with my membranes being scraped though, that I could still go naturally sometime around my actual due date. We'll just have to wait and see. Anyways - I'm frustrated.

Aww Jo!  I am so sorry to hear Quinntin is still holding your uterus hostage.  You must have some nice digs there and he just doesn't want to leave!  He'll be here soon enough...hang in there!!  Sam

That stinks Jo, but who can blame him really... I mean it's warm in there and he's getting food 24/7 in there and he doesn't have to wear diapers... but I know you want to see him... Hope it's an easy labor and he comes quickly... Let us know as soon as anything happens...

Not to discourage you, but I was a SUPER late baby.  Due July 20, came August 31.  OF course, they don't let women go that long anymore, but I feel sorry for my poor mama. Hopefully he'll be here soon.

Hi Jodi,

I'm sorry you had a "false start", but I'm sure Mr Quintin will make his appearance when he's done cookin'.  Try to have patience.  You'll be wishing he was back in when he has you up at 3:00 am and thinks it's time to play! Try to get some rest and enjoy watching your belly move from side to side (that always freaked me out ).

Sorry to hear that Quinntin doesn't want to come out. I just had a baby well not just had I mean my son will be 2 in November, But anyway my husband told me to do a jumping jack with our daughter and i just looked at him like come on that will never work. but like you i was ready and just wanted to see my baby. well time just kept dragging on and i said what the heck and well i did 2 jumping jacks and she dropped and i dialated to 5 after that and well you know what happend next. well then i did the same thing with my son and it worked again except i had to do it more than a few times and man did it work. i know it sounds crazy but anything is worth a try. Oh and make sure your DH is next to you when you do it in case you need someone to lean on. Good Luck Jodi and Best wishes
