MY TEST RESULTS-WHAT????

WELL, I JUST GOT BACK FROM MY PCP'S OFFICE AND FOUND OUT--   I HAVE HAD ~A "BIRD FLU TYPE" OF VIRUS- FROM SPORES & MOLD;  VIRAUL MENENGITIS; AND THERE IS SCARRING/SHRINKING IN MY RIGHT LUNG~ THAT COULD BE FROM THE MENENGITUS- OR~A BLOOD CLOT~~~  OMG, WHAT?????? HE SAID HE WANTS TO DO A FOLLOW UP IN A WEEK, AFTER I TAKE ALL OF THE MEDS. HE PERSCRIBED. NO WONDER I HAVE BEEN EXASTED, AND FEELING LIKE SOMEONE DROVE OVER ME WITH A BIG RIG!!! I HAD MULCHED THE YARD BEFORE MY OP. SURGERY & EVIDENTUALY THAT'S WHERE THE "BIRD type FLU"- SPORE~MOLD VIRUS CAME FROM. YIKES, ALL I WANTED WAS A PRETTY YARD!! I'VE ALSO DROPPED 9 LBS. THE HARD WAY, BUT HOPEFULLY I'LL BE ABLE TO KEEP IT OFF WHEN I FEEL BETTER- WT. LOSS HAS BEEN NIL SINCE I HIT MY PCP'S GOAL.HE WASN'T HAPPY WITH THAT THOUGH, AND I AM TO TAKE IT REAL EASY THE NEXT 2 WEEKS- RIGHT! I AM TRYING, BUT THE GO-GETTER IN ME DOESN'T LIKE IT!! GEEZ, TO THINK BEFORE SURGERY ALL I DID WAS SIT & EAT, SIT & READ, SIT 7 VEG.- NOW, GOTTA GO- GOTTA GO- GOTTA GO, BUT THE GOOD KIND OF "GOING!!!". HE PUT ME ON AN INHALER I HAVE TO USE 4X A DAY, & A HIGH DOSE OF PREDNIZONE- I HATE TO TAKE THAT STUFF~~ HOPEFULLY I WON'T HAVE THE "RAVING HUNGER" I HAD PRE-OPT. THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR PRAYERS & SUPPROT- IT MEANS SO MUCH TO ME. NOW ON TO HEALING & FEELING 100% AGAIN! (((HUGS))) ELLEN

Wow, Ellen!  That is kind of scary!  I hope you are feeling better soon!!

I'm confused, did you have all three of those things- bird flu, viral meningitis and a blood clot?  You are right. . . no wonder you have not ben feeling ell.  Re: prednisone, I had to have it for 10 days when I was 4 weeks post op.  It did increase my appetite but not as much as before and it was manageable.  I imagine you will do just fine.  Get rest and take care!!

Hope you get to feeling better soon.  Make sure to try and relax as much as possible like the doc says.

Woman---when you do it, you do it all the way!  You do exactly what the doctor told you and nothing else is that clear?  You sit down right now and start asking someone to bring you any thing you need.  I know Dana will do everything he can to take care of you so no worries there.  You have your daughter here again so let her and the rest of the family come over and help you and give Dana a break.  If you need anything - and I mean ANYTHING you call me.  I know you got our number so don't be afraid to use it. Sherri is going to be very upset that she is not here to offer her assistance too 'cause you know she would do whatever she could for you too. Have the drugs started to kick in yet?  Hopefully you will see improvement within a day or two.  The doc must expect them to work quickly if you have to go back next week already. We'll keep praying for you and you keep getting better OK? Take care of yourself and remember, call us if you or Dana need anything. Brenda

Ellen, WOW! No wonder you aren't feeling well! I hope that the meds work for ya and quickly! I too, had to take prednizone early in my journey and I did pretty good, it was manageable! If you need anything let me know, I am available to help out in anyway from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and after 6:30 p.m., ok? I started a new job today! I was offered the directors position at my sons school, so it is close and flexible! Just give me a holler and let me know! Ellen~ Bless your heart! No wonder you felt bad...take those meds and REST...REST..REST. DO NOTHING. Hopefully those meds will kick in soon and you will feel better . Thoughts and prayers are with you!
