i cheated :(
Hi there. I agree with all the others: We don't cheat, we make poor choices sometimes. But, unlike our "diets" of the past, each choice is a new opportunity to make a better one. You don't have to "wait til tomorrow" to start fresh. The next food choice you make is a fresh start. As for fluids, it is very hard the first few weeks, but you have to make a concerted effort to drink constantly between meals. Like you, I couldn't stand protein drinks after the first 2 weeks, so I got most of my protein from double strength milk. You make double strength milk by adding 1/3 cup powdered milk to 8 - 16 oz of skim milk. This gives you 16 - 24 grams of protein. I also added some sugar free Nesquik. It is a little more expensive than regular Quik, but well worth the cost when you look at how much sugar you avoid and at least for me, I didn't have to use as much (the chocolate seems more concentrated. I think you will find that you will not feel as much head hunger if you up your fluids and your protein intake with the milk (yes, it counts as both). You can even make it better by adding 1/2 of a banana and mixing it in the food processor or blender. It will be much more filling so don't use more than 8 oz of milk, 1/3 cup powdered milk and 1/2 of a banana for this protein shake. You can also add 2 or 3 frozen stawberries (no sugar added) for flavor variety. If you want to just use the SF Nesquik, add 4 ice cubes to thicken it up. None of this will add too much sugar to your diet as long as you remember our new montra: Moderation and portion control in all things! You have started a jouney that is expected to take a lifetime. You will have slips and falls along the way like everyone else. This doesn't make you a bad person or a failue, it just makes you human.
Good luck on you journey and remember, you have friends here.
