HELP! How long did it take to get into DR. HUSE?

I found out Dr. Huse accepts my insurance and I am trying to transfer to him. What is the weight to get in? What test does he make you do? Were you comfortable with him? I know it depends on the insurance but what qualifications does he make you do?  I really want this surgery and any info you guys have.... Thanks

I had Dr. Huse,,,, he is awesome!   I went to the siminar at the bariatric center and had the consult with him afterward. then he submitted my info to insuarnce and i got a call from them without seeing him again till surgery.  I had the lung tests and blood work, chest exray.. usual stuff.  and then i had to go for a physical with a Dr. he recomended  and had my psych evaluation but i didnt use the psych at St. V. i went to one local to me.    The siminar was on Aug 16 05 and i had surgery on Nov. 1st 05.. that was only 2 1/2 months.. quick service.. i seen Dr. Huse at the siminar on a tuesday and by Fri. morning the insurance had my paperwork on their desk.  I had BCBS.  Good Luck,  I think you will like him.  Carla

I wished I had as good of luck as you.  I went to the seminar on Aug 2, 2 wks ago yesterday and still havent heard a word.  Called my insurance yesterday and they do not have anything from Dr Gupta's office.  The frustrating part is that I have been approved for this surgery by my PCP submitting the paperwork, I just have to have the surgeon submit the paperwork.  I have emailed the insurance ladies at Dr. Gupta's office and they just say it takes time. I know it takes time, but when I see other people posting on here that they were contacted within a week, it burns me.  If I dont hear something by end of next week. I may just have to call and talk to the big boss.

i had dr huse...he's an amazing dr...i highly recommend him and all the team at st vincents    

hi there i didnt have dr hughes but he filled in for my dr evanson while i was in hosp my surgery was aug 8 -he seem very nice he was a older man-have u watched the big medicine show on baratric surgery that comes on tv? dr d? well he reminded me of him  lol ------
