5 days until surgery!

The countdown is getting smaller! I am 5 days away from my RNY at St. V's with Dr. Evanson. I didn't think the 31st would ever get here, and now I don't know what to think! I'm trying to get 'prepared' for the big day, and I was wondering if anyone had any advice. I'm getting a kitchen cabinet ready for MY things, and MY things only. Did anyone throw out any food in their house? Because of being afraid of eating it? I'm going to have my house clean (hopefully), laundry up to date (yeah right), etc. Any other things I'm not thinking of? Or things to take to the hospital? I guess i'm just nervous!!!!!! The wait is killing me!!! Thanks in advance! Amanda

Amanda, Congrats on your surgery!  I had mine over a year ago and it is the BEST thing in my life!  I think we were all nervous - its natural!    Honestly, I don't remember much about what I did the week before.  I did get a cabinet ready for my stuff.  I did make sure I had extra sippy cups around - that I do remember!   Best of luck to you!!!!!!!!!  Julia

Congratulations!!  I am 3 months out and would definetly do it again.  Let me know if there is anything I can do for you when you get home.

Amanda...I was wondering the same thing, but never thought to put up a post...so glad you did...my surgery is on the 2nd at St Vincent's with Dr. Huse...I'm also not believing it's THIS CLOSE!!! :D don't know if I'll get to see you on the 2nd...but if I don't know I was thinking of you on the 31st!!! :) hugs, Jen
