DON'T QUIT

I wrote this many many years ago, when I was in highschool. I was going
through some old papers and found this poem. I just had to share it with
my OH family and friends.

DON'T QUIT


When things go wrong, athey sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit-
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us soometimes learns,
And many a person turns about,
When they might have won had they stuck it out.
Don't hive up though the pace seems slow-
You may succeed with another lobw.

Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor's cup:
And he learned too late,
when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out-
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit-
It's when things seem worst that you mustn't
QUIT!!!!!!!!!!

I can honestly say this has been the worst day I've had in a very very long time...I've been highly emotional today...and it seems like everything that could go wrong has...it started this morning by waking up late, and it ended tonight with my husband's car dying on him in town...and there was a bunch of stuff in between today that just kept piling up....you just have no idea how I needed to read this poem...it was like you posted it there for me...THANK YOU SO MUCH...I have already cried a bunch today and I could cry more right now....but I'm going to stick to the good fight...hopefully things will turn around soon...at least I know come next Thursday that things will be turning around for the better where my weight is concerned. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!
