Need to whine a minute kinda o/t

I still haven't been to bed because of something stupid I did last night! Everyone says to have your favorite meal or that last minute splurge. Since I decided to try and start a semi liquid diet next week and we had the money we went to our China buffet around 6ish. I ate less than I had in the past but I ate enough to make myself sooooo miserable that I couldn't sleep at all. My reflux has been so awful since about an hour after I ate and my heartburn has been constant also. I've not had a bad reflux flareup since starting my Protonix over a year ago and I'm just miserable. I've tried taking pepcid and tums and I took my protonix and I still am not feeling well and it's beginning to worry me and make me nervous because now I'm really wheezy and my asthma is trying to flare up! Please say a lil prayer that it settles soon because I'm afraid if I end up on steroids that it will shoot my a1c up too high and my surgery will have to be moved.  Also if you have any suggestions to get rid of this discomfort it'd be greatly appreciated because as I said I'm sooo miserable.

I KNOW THIS WILL SOUND STRANGE BUT WHEN MINE WAS ACTING UP AND NOTHING SEEM TO HELP I DRANK A LARGE GLASS OF CHOCOLATE MILK AND IT SEEM TO HELP. NOW I DONT KNOW IF IT WAS ALL IN MY HEAD BUT I DONT THINK SO. YOU SEE MILK COATS THE STOMIC AND THAT SEEMS TO HELP EASE THE PAIN. I HOPE THIS HELPS. VICKI

I think the milk is thick enough to absorb some of the acid. When I was preggers the first time, I had horrible acid reflux. I was constantly drinking milk shakes to help keep the acid away.  Linda Vicory

Well the only thing I can say is walk, walk, walk and then walk some more.  After surgery that will be your method to comfort the pouch. PS You do not need a LAST MEAL.  Stop it now because with a 3 ounce pouch it will take 9 days to finish a small can of Cream of Chicken soup....

I SEE NOTHING WRONG WITH A LAST MEAL. I SPENT MY LAST 2 WEEKS GOING TO MY FAVORITE PLACES AND EATING . AND KNOWING THIS WAS THE LAST TIME I WOULD DO SO . AS A RESULT( FOR ME ANYWAY) I DONT EVEN WANT THAT STUFF ANYMORE. I SAID GOOD BY TO IT AND NOW ITS JUST A MEMORY.BUT EACH PERSON IS DIFFERENT THIS WORKED FOR ME AND I KNOW FOR A COUPLE MORE IT DID AS WELL. I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON HUN ACID REFLUX STINKS.. I am feeling quite a bit better! I finally got some sleep too. I just hope I can sleep tonight too because I don't really wanna become a night owl. The YooHoo worked and i chewed another tums up right beforehand so I think this episode is done! Shew I know I don't usually eat spicey and for some reason the salt and pepper shrimp and the general tsao's chicken were especially spicey yesterday!!! Oh well.
