Another run of bad luck for the family

Monday morning my sister Chris was at work when the lady she was working with turned the pilot light on the stove all the way up and the stove apparently did not light.  My sister walked over to the stove to get a match and when she lit it she caught on fire.  Luckily it just burned her hair a little and her eyebrows and eyelashes, but other than that she was fine.  Monday night my other sister Vera went to the park to pick up my nieces and their babies because they said some guy was starring at them and making them feel uncomfotable.  When she got there he was watching the babies, they are 2 years old by the way and would not take his eyes off of them.  My sister asked the guy if he had a problem and then he cursed her so she was going to call the police station to make a complaint about the guy watching the babies.  She had her back turned and was getting ready to dial the phone and he come up and stabbed her in the back of the head,  The good Lord was with her because she got by with just having 6 stitches.  The doctor at the emergency room told her that she was very lucky because it was a deep cut and if it would have been any higher or any lower that the outcome would not have been very good at all.  They did catch the guy 45 min later he was on foot and there was all kinds of witnesses that seen which way that he went.  He was preliminarily charged with assault with a deadly weapon but after the officer working the scene talked to the prosecuter Tuesday the prosecuter is going to charge him with attempted murder.  When they arrested him he had 3 knifes on him.  The witnesses said the one he stabbed my sister with he put in his pocket and took off.   Come to find out I went to school with this guy and he was also an offender at the prison where I work at and just got released in Dec 2004.  Thanks for listening  Kylie

Oh my God!   Oh honey, I am so sorry this is happening to your family.  Y'all are in my prayers. Do me a favor, will ya?   Wrap yourself in bubble-wrap, leaving room to breathe, and take care of yourself.   Keep yourself safe.

Love ya,

Annette

Hi Kylie, Sorry to hear about everything that has happened, but I'm so glad none of it was worse that it was.  Ea*****ident could have been so much worse.  Chris could have been so badly burned; Vera's attacker could have stabbed the babies instead of her or her injuries could have been much worse and best of all they caught the guy.  So at least she knows he isn't still out there somewhere.  I hope things start going better for your family soon.

Good luck.

Cindy

Kylie, I am so sorry for your family.  Glad the injuries weren't life threatening for any of them and that the babies are safe.  Hopefully they will put that guy away for a very long time.   Keep yourself aware, on-guard and safe please. Julie

oh how terrible. I am glad everyone is okay. I have always thought when we go to the park if anyone is eyeing my daughter in a not so good way I would confront them also, but with your story I think I may just pack up and head to another park.  I agree with Annette you need some bubble wrap.  I will pray that God will bring blessing after blessing to your family.  Robin
