update on insurance fiasco

ok. now the insurance, unicare, again is being difficult. my doctor finally did the peer to peer phone call (with unicare's doctor) and the insurance doc informed my doc that in indiana there is still an eighteen month monitored diet needed. i spoke to the unicare insurance rep who i've been dealing with and she even said, "no, that's not true. i have the paperwork that says its six months." she faxed that to the doctor but it was a general fax so who knows who got it as she explained that the doctors are not housed in the same building. supposidly they're all over the country. after i thanked her again for her help she asked me to do her a favor. since i am happy with HER assistance could i please call her boss and let him know? i told her "yes, of course" and did and left a message. today she said she will track down what's going on and she flagged my case on her computer so when a doctor finally and hopefully reads that indiana law he will forward it to her and she'll have good news for me. i'm thinking she may be the final one for approval. i forgot to ask her. so, yet another day of waiting. hopefully soon i will get good news. this is so frustrating. the insurance woman at my doctor's office (the bariatric doc) can't believe that they approved my husband who had way less paperwork than i did but are giving me a hard time. and the insurance is MINE that my husband is on. his own won't cover anything. well, i just wanted to update you all. you''ve been supportive and gave me some good ideas. thanks!!!
