Surgery Pain

Hi, I have heard tales of the pain after surgery anywhere from none at all to severe...does this depend on the person's tolerence for pain? My surgeon told me I would be on a morphine pump after surgery so I assume it will be pretty uncomfortable. Any opinions out there? Deb

A morphine pump?! I certainly didnt have one. I remeber there being some pain the first time i recall waking up, but other than that, not bad at all. I didnt even take any of the pain meds they sent me home with.

I only took the home pain meds for a couple days. It wasn't too bad. Not any worse than any of the c-sections I've had. Linda Vicory

Debby, I didnt have a pump either...just pain meds by mouth. I only took them twice after I got home. My pain was minimal. Linda
