Update on vomoiting !
Hello all, I went to Carmel yesterday to Dr. Huse and he sent me straight to the hospital for a scope. I got in there and my stoma was only 1mm open. They dilated it to 15 mm. I was so tired the rest of the day and night. I slept the whole 2 hours home and then some when I got home. I went to bed at 8:30 p.m. and slept till 10:30 a.m. I was still a little tired when I got up, but I did feel better. I actually ate today and kept the food down. It felt so good not to be vomiting. Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts.

Liz,
Back when I was having all my stricture issues, I was told that statistically, about 20% of post-ops have a stricture. If a person has to have an endo due to a stricture, they typically have to have 3 endo's total (to ensure that the stoma remains open****ationally, there are people like me who have to have multiple ones. It has been awhile since those days, but I would guess that the statistics are probably about the same today. It just seems like alot because we only hear about those who need the endo's...not about the 80% who don't.
