insurance ???

I have had all of my pre op testing done and the psych dr and internal medicine dr both cleared me for surgery now I am just waiint to hear back from Anthem on approval. anyone else have anthem insurance and had a quick response? Mindi

I have anthem through the state (I'm a state employee), and got an approval long before I expected to. It moved so fast, I had to ask the surgery scheduling lady to move it back a week to give me enough time to get ready. Linda Vicory

I had Anthem BCBS and to my surprise i was approved in 4 days, my dr. faxed my info to them on a thursday and i called on monday to make sure they got it and see if they needed anything else and the lady told me it had been approved.. I sent 4 photos taken over the previous 5 years and wrote a letter about all the ways my weight was affecting my life and my family by the things i couldnt do with them. I was amazed to get approved so fast.. i was really pleased with Anthem from start to finish. Good Luck to you, Carla

This really gives me some hope. I am really praying That I can get the surgery soon and be on the losing side. It would be an answer to my prayers I can be more active with my girls. My knees are really hurting today and I know that the more weight I will lose the better they will feel

I also and a state employee and got approved by anthem in 1 week. I swear I have cost them less since the surgery than I did before!!! I havent had to see my pcp in a year!! Linda
