Hello everyone! I made it home safely last night, but I'm still feeling miserable! I talked to my Dr's office this morning, and the nurse said I need to finish my antibiotic before I worry too much. I've been on the meds for 5 days, only 2 left to go and I'm still lousy. My husband and Parents are worried about my immune system cuz I get sick everytime I travel. Every one have a good day! Hope

So sorry you are sick. I'd think you be felling better by now if the antibiotics were working. It may be viral and antibiotics won't work on a viral infection. It is flu season, did you get a flu shot.

Yup on the flu shot. I know it's sinusitis, I just can't figure why the antibiotics haven't worked yet. The nurse didn't think it unusual, but the've always worked faster before. The Doc in HOuston didn't think it was viral, so now I just wait till monday and hope the meds work by then. Hope

Too true, the antibiotics won't work if it's viral. Try the old standbys of chicken broth, and lots of rest and clear liquids. Linda Vicory

Hope, I hope you get to feeling better soon. Glad to see you got back ok. I hope the trip went well other than you're getting sick. You went through a pretty good climate change on this trip, that and it being winter, may be the biggest contributing factors to your getting sick. Each time you get sick when you travel, is it the same thing or different? I found that I am the healthiest if I stay in the city. If I'm where corn fields are for any length of time, I get bronchitis BAD. When I lived in Clinton, I got bronchitis all the time. Since moving to Indy, I've gotten it once...when I stayed with a girlfriend in Cumberland for about a week. What do both places have in common? Cornfields nearby. Maybe yours is something that simple too. Sherri
