Carbonated drinks expand in your stomach (or pouch in our case). I figure that I am trying everything to make myself smaller, why would I ingest anything that expands inside me? Since my surgery I have become a water-loving freak. I NEVER drank water before. What's up with that? Annette

I do enjoy diet A & W rootbeer now and then. I drink it very slowly. It probably isn't the best becasue it leads to other cravings like popcorn, chips, crackers which I don't want to eat. I think it is an old head hunger thing where you always had pop with snacks. So I'd stay away from it as long as you can.
