Im here! Just been really busy and tired. Yesterday was super busy. My brother and I had a laundry list of places to go and people to talk to. Good news is, there is one life insurance policy where my dad's girlfrien is the beneficiary, and one for my brother and I. These are really small policies, but it should be enough to get him to KC, and pay for all the other "little" stuff that no one mentions you get charged for. We might have to cover about $2000 between the two of us out of pocket.The whole funeral arrangement thing is a big pain, and really is designed to milk families of every penny they might have left it seems. Chris and I have started talking about making our arrangements so that our children never have to go through this. Its hard enough losing a parent without worrying about paperwork and money. Now that we can get DAD down there, I have to worry about how *I* will get there. Looks like another Thanksgiving Funeral (my mom passed on Nov 24) and the plane tickets wont be cheap. Especially last minute. Thanks for thinking of me guys, and for all the advice and suggestions everyone had.

Darrah, Just a quick note to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers! Hang in there and make sure to take care of yourself and the little one, it is so hard when you are going through so much emotionally sometimes, but I just wanted to send a hug and let ya know you are thought of! Call the airlines and be sure to ask for a bereavement rate!!

Yup, I've never used it, but I've heard some airlines will offer you a reduced rate for attending a funeral. It can't hurt to ask. Linda
