Hi Everyone~ It has been SO long since I have been on the message board! We've had a horrible internet connection and it was too frustrating to even attempt to get online so I haven't been on this site in forever! DSL finally became available in my area; we made the switch so you'll be seeing much more of me! I've missed this site so much! I miss the interaction with everyone; I've learned that it is so important to have a good network of friends who know what your going through and can relate to your struggles and feelings. Its just not the same talking to someone who hasn't gone through the weight struggles. Here's a quick update on me.... I'm now 14 months post op; my highest weight was 365 pounds and as of this morning I am down to 191. I'd still like to lose another 20 pounds, but more importantly I need to build up my muscle/weight ratio. Unfortunately with the last 20 pounds that I've lost most of it was muscle. So I got into a serious cardio and weight training program and then of course I hit an obstacle...GALLSTONES! Yep, I went through the horrific gall-stones that many of us get a year or so post op. I had my gallbladder removed last week and oh my gosh, recovery has been ROUGH! I felt like I was recovering from RNY again! Luckily I woke up yesterday morning feeling so much better. I actually drove myself to the doctors office, it felt so good to get out of the house. I'm still laying low, I have a habit of being a go-go-go person so I'm really trying to relax and take it easy. So what is new with you?? Fill me in! ((Hugs)) Jaimee

Hi Jaimme, I wondered where you'd gotten to. Good to see your smiling face again. Gallbladder's, I wonder why the Lord invented them- yuck!! Glad you are feeling better. I know all about those last 10-20#, that is where I am.I am changing my goal, since I'm down 115# and still a size 14-16. I need to do some serious strength training, but my Fibromyalga flairs up every time I try. Just be sure you are all healed from your surgery before you get going on the training, ok? Hope to chat with you again soon, (((hugs))) Ellen

Wow Ellen~ You look wonderful!!!! Yeah, I had to change my goal as well. Its kind of funny, I really wanted to be able to wear a size 14, I am now wearing a 12 and still want to lose! I guess a size 14 on me isn't exactly what I pictured. I'd be happy to stay in a 12 and just convert some of this flab to muscle. I'm pretty tall but it is so bizzare to be 190 pounds and wear a size 12. Thanks for responding to my post!! Jaimee

Hi Jaimee!! I don't think you could be any prettier!!!! And pink really suits you! I have been on and off the board. I had surgery on 9/15 and am down 42 big ones! I will be working on my profile this weekend. I am so glad to hear that the new system is easy to use. I have been a little scared. Don't be a stranger!!
