Hello and good morning

We just got back from Gatlinburg and I've been reading the post from the last 4 days to see what I've missed. Sherri my feet hurt just reading about your surgery. Darrah, Congrats on the news of a little girl on the way. I hope we hear some good news from Dawn on her gpa today. It doesn't sound like he was doing very well and I'll be praying for them both. We had the most fantastic weekend. Friday I went for a 1 hour horseback ride in the Somkey's, then shopped. Saturday we did a 2 1/2 mile hike in the mountains to a water fall, then drove for a while, shopped and went to dinner. Sunday we drove to the Biltmore House in Ashville,NC. We were able to do some shopping there at the winery. We got a good start on our christmas shopping. The weather was beautiful, 60 during the day, 30 at night. We had our own cabin rented so when we got home at night we would go out and sit in the hot tub. Last year when we went to Gatlinburg I was 110 pounds heavier and I couldn't do anything. That is what made this trip so much more special. I can't wait to go back there, there is so much more I want to do there.I love the Smokey's. I'm going to try to work on my profile tomorrow and figure out how to put on a picture trail so I can post some of the pictures.

Hey I love the Smokies!! I just love the mountains.. We want to take the motorcycles down the road from Gatlinburg to Cherokee.. We just usually stay in a motel but that is deffinatly the place to vacation.. I spent this weekend at Lawrenceburg and Metamoria!! A Girl!! wow Darrah I love girls!!! I will be starting the pink aftgan right away!!! Congrats!! Sherri you have gone thru much more than I am sure I have the strength for... I thought bariatric then knee surgery was bad.. you have been thru so much with your feet they should have just replaced them and put new ones in??? My best wishes for you!!! Love Linda

Thanks Linda! And a belated happy birthday to you! I havent been online much recently. My best friend and his wife are visiting with us from KC, so it's REALLY been nice the last few days. I get really lonely here, it just feels so great for them to be here. And at the same time, i feel horrible because I know they are leaving tomorrow . Well I need to get showered and ready. Joey is supposed to get the staples out of his face today, hopefully they say everything looks good and they'll take them out and say he can run around without his conehead on.

not to many biking days left this season Linda. We have friends that like to travel by bike also. I like to go for rides but for a trip I'll take a car anytime. The weather is to unpredictable. We went to Metamora once years ago. Is it still the same?

Good morning... Jan & Linda, thank you. Bariatric surgery in no way guarantees you that nothing else in your body will go ka-put. Stuff happens. I was having problems with my left knee back in August (pre-first foot surgery) so I am really hoping that it isn't the next thing to go! I am just trying to stay focussed on the surgery I WANT..Plastics! I look down at at my belly & legs and just really look forward to having that skin gone. I guess compared to bunion surgeyr, it's suppose to be a cake walk. I'll let you all know..lol. I'm still taking the pain meds pretty regular. The worst problem has been the constipation. Gotta love the anasthsia, huh? I haven't been able to comfortably wear the walking boot because of the wire yet so I'm still hobbling around on the crutches. We were going to ask my daughter to pick us up & take us to go vote, but I don't think that's a good idea with crutches. So...I can just be glad it isn't the presidential one. Time for me to hobble back to bed. I'll be glad when this first 7 days is done. Our bed is comfortable, but not THAT comfortable! LOL! You all have a great day! Sherri
