All of a sudden pain. . .
I had my surgery 2 weeks ago tomorrow. . .I have been relatively pain free for the last 4 days... Now. . .last night I go to bed and then get up a few hours later to use the bathroom and I can barely move without crying out!
My left side is just in a lot of pain. I haven't needed pain meds in 4 days, but I took some this morning when I woke up. I can barely walk again without pain. I can hardly turn to the left without crying out. I'm talking on the 1-10 scale. . .an 8 and sitting down is now a constant pain of around 5. I hurt and I hurt bad.
I have called the surgeon's office and am waiting a call back from the nurse. I did walk around Wal-Mart on Saturday, but didn't do anything over the top on Sunday and was fine all day, both days really, right up till last night around 9pm.
A hernia? A pulled muscle? Any suggestions? *sigh* I just want to be where I was yesterday morning and afternoon and early evening, which was pretty much pain free.

I can relate. About two weeks out, I started having pain on my left side. It was weird, but it is part of the healing process. To my knowledge, it is pretty normal.
BUT---you should call with any concerns. I am not an MD!!!
All I want you to know is that I also felt great, then I had side pain. It was pretty severe when I got out of bed or off the couch, but not so noticeable when I sat or walked. Hope this helps a little.

The nurse called me back and told me that about this time is when I would start experiencing this pain. . .it is part of the healing process for the muscles they cut through. . .I am so glad it wasn't something more! I would have liked a forewarning though so I was so worried this morning.
She suggested a heat pad and to take the pain meds at night even if I am not needing them during the day. . .
I also got to weigh in with my family doctor and I'm down 26 lbs.
Yippeee. . .
Thanks for your response ladies. I appreciate it very much.
