I have a date !!!

I have only posted on here one other time. I have spent my time "lurking". HAHA My surgeon submitted my insurance request on 10102006 and I was approved 8 days later. I was amazed how fast that happened. I work for the state and have Anthem BC/BS and I heard horror stories from lots of folks who have struggled with them....I got mine quickly. NOW I AM SCARED !!! Almost to the point of talking myself out of it.... I am asking for support. You all seem like a very supportive bunch !!!!! Does this feeling happen a lot?

I got approved fast by BCBS too, i was really scared when i first got the news too. but after a few days it all sunk in that i was going to get what i had long wanted to do. You are blessed to have this opportunity, be thankful and start your new life. you are only going through what most of us have gone through. its normal, you are in good company here. if you have any questions just ask, every one here will help if possible. Kathy, I remember you !!! I actually tried calling your office on Friday to see if you were in to tell you my news. I will try calling you on Monday. Thanks for the reponses!!! I know that I have been blessed with this oppourtunity. I kinda have the dazed feeling. Like I can not beleive that it going to happen. My weight has been a problem for me since early teens. It doesn't help that my mother makes her living working a fitness club!!!! It was kinda hard talking to her about it at first she was upset at me. Then after I took her the meeting with my surgeon and sat down and spoke to her ....she supports me now!!!!! Still scared! !!haha I have never had a surgery before... that is what I am scared about.

Rebecca, congratulations on you getting a date. How soon are you having surgery? I also have received a re-scheduled date. I go on November 7th. My first date was on August 23 but it didn't happen then. I had some other complications that needed to be taken care of first. I have heard the horror stories also and I try to put them in the back of my mind. I have had 3 sisters, 1 nephew, and 1 niece go through with the RNY and 1 niece with the lap band surgery. They are all doing fine! I am trying to keep in mind that they are doing well. I'm scared to have surgery but have been working on getting it done since March. I am always looking to OH of Indiana and seeking support from everyone. I want to hear the good things not the bad. Good luck to you!
