Tuesday....
Good morning everyone!
The rain is suppose to stop today. Yeah! Bill & I will be heading to Mansfield soon for the Covered Bridge Festival. Got some $ and I'm ready to SHOP! LOL! I'm mainly looking for craft supplies but will be keeping my eyes open for those special Christmas gifts as well.
Congrats to all the upcoming surgery dates! The time will fly by! When you hear Nov. 22nd, that seems like it's so far away, but it gets here before you know it.
You all have a terrific day!

Good Morning everyone!
Personally, I don't mind a little rain, being a pacific northwesterner. The rain here is different than the rain there though. But it sure sounded nice hitting the windows and roof yesterday/last night. Lit a candle and curled up with a big book all day (reading Harry Potter #6 for about the 98279837429834th time, sure wish she'd finish the last book soon.) If I could just shake these horrible headaches and runny nose, I'd feel pretty good. Still no appetite, but its easier to get seomthing into my tummy and keep it there now. I'm REALLY trying to work on those 1800 calories today. If you had told me this time last year I would struggle like this trying to get 1800 calories a day in, I'd have laughed in your face. For those of you newly post op or heading into suregery, firstly good luck! Secondly please remember that 1800 calories a day is not a typical diet for 7 months post op, but I have a little person inside my belly that needs his own calories. 17 more days til we find out what it is! Hurry up already!
Morning all...i went to a birthday dinner at ricks dock yard or whatever it is called...and i ate....even had birthday cake,.,,,sunday my aunt had a hayride party which i helped with, and yesterday i had bon fire issues to finish up along with getting the port a potty back to the place...went to danville, to get a vase of flowers for the birthday girl and I have to say to all, well worth the trip for these flowers as Tammy and her husband are awesome....and they have a dog and 2 kittys to keep them company and the dog is mean and will not allow you to pet him...(he is not mean in he will bite, he just did not want a stranger messing his pretty hair up) .one kitty is a big ole fat thing and needs wls himself...LMAO then this one has a titled head he came from an outside kitty family and ear mites messed up his balance..bless his heart....TAMMY LOOKS WONDERFUL...................size 6....her husband said everything is the same just a smaller package.....she had just gotten back from fl, early that morning and was all tanned and looked good..the vase of flowers was beautiful....50 pink carns, oh when i took it to the birthday girl, her kitty thought they were for him and jumped right up there to investigate..
I just love seeing losers.....if anyone needs flowers be sure to call danville florist cos thats where its at....thanks again tammy...

Ugggh,, The Rain!!! I'm soo over it!! I can't wait for it to go away.. I've been fostering puppies.. 3 little beagle mixes, and it's making it really hard to get them to go outside, because the rain scares them.. The poor little babies!! But they've finally gotten through the lose of their mommy, and now are getting used to having each other's company, and of course a heated sock full of rice makes them happy too.. It's like a little ball of heat for them to lie around on,, since it's been so chilly....
Darrah,, I can't wait for the Next Harry Potter book.. I think i've read the book like a ton as well... Oh well,, I guess we are used to waiting by now.. My little girl can't wait for the next movie,, she is only 4 but she loves loves loves Harry Potter.....
Tracey T.'s husband is supposed to be calling me when she gets out of surgery.. So I can't wait to hear from him.. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers today, and I'll update when I hear something from her...
Have a great Tuesday..
Heather

Linda,
We really enjoyed Mansfield!! There's one covered bridge there, and thousands of booths! I know we probably only covered about half of it and I had 6 miles on my pedometer! Parking was $5 for the day. There's a wagon that takes you accross the road and up the hill to the food court. The wagon runs every 15 minutes until 6. When we went to leave, it took us right to our vehicle. I imagine if the lots were still full, they wouldn't have been able to do that though. I told Bill several times that Mansfield is the ideal place for WLS post-ops! They give you free samples of food every time you turn around so you could be all filled up for free! The best freebie was this grilled pork! YUMMY!! We both were so good! Not a single bite of fried veggies, curly fries, onion blossoms, or elephant ears! Woo-hoo! I was able to get some really nice Christmas gifts. I got several red hat items for my MIL so with the craft stuff I made her, I can mark her name off my shopping list. I got the cutest baby doll for my 3.5 yr granddaughter for only $15. I also got each of the grandkids a 3 pc outsit...shirt, pants, and jacket/or coat for $16-$20 for each SET. For $70 I got all 4 of theirs. I had already gotten each of the 3 youngest ones a coat and paid about $30 for each coat alone!
Oh...best find there...a shopping cart and huge bag to go in it...both for $15! We will be bringing it with us whenever there is a chance we will be needing to carry stuff! Vegas definately comes to mind!
If you like to shop, do check out Mansfield. It's on 69, south of 36.
