CHECKING IN
Good morning friends. It has been a long weekend. I do not stray away from the pot very long. Nothing seems to be staying in my system more than an hour. I am going to see my PCP this afternoon and get a referral to the cardiologist. I do not know if I mentioned it or not, but wanted to sure our new folks understand that the problem I am having is NOT related to WLS. This issue develops in older people of which I am one at the age of 63. My prayer is that the docs can get a handle on a treatment plan so Ann and I can still make the trip to Lexington. I will have to make that decision next week.
Dan
I feel for ya Dan. I went thru that just a year ago. That was pre-op for me though.
They pumed me full of antibiotics which destroys all the good as well as the bad bacteria in there. (You need some for normal operations) I was only in bad pain for two days and mild for a week. It took a couple of months for the diarrehea to go away. I have to believe that even thou it is now caused by the WLS it may complicate things becasue of the food intake. Hope you get over it soon.
Dan when I had my intestinal infection I was given antibiotic(sp) and also Diphenoxylate, and compazine, and one other drug but can't remember what it was. The Diphenoxylate was for the Diarrhea that was really bad. I hope you get to feeling better soon my dear friend. Thinking of you. By the way you left a great impresion on Joshua

Hi Dan,
I had the same problem & found out I am lactose intolerant. I did do around of anti-biotics ( just in case) & was told to use Immodium every time I had a problem. It sure has helped me. I know too, that meds. could cause it.
Take good care of your self, & by the way, you are looking great!
(((hugs to you & Ann)))
