Well I guess no one wanted Mexican... I took the clothes to Deb in the Hotel they have her and her son set up in.. although they really didnt save much in the way of clothes and shoes for her she has an extensive shopping allowance from the insurance company.. actually she looks like she is doing well.. and slowly picking out things she will refurnish her new house with... As soon as they settle on a price from the house I think she is going to tear the rest down and rebuild... She deeply appreciates everyone and their kindness and best wishes.. Linda

Good morning everyone! Linda..Sorry about not putting anything down about going to a Mexican restaurant tonight. I knew we wouldn't have time to go over to there for dinner. I DID think you'd get some takers though. Especially from the ones who live over there. We love mexican food. That, and oriental. Both are so delish! And both CAN be healthy too. Please do let Deb know she's in our thoughts & prayers. It's just so good that she and her son were neither one injured or worse. A house, you can replace. Any idea what caused the fire? My step-daughter is having surgery at noon today (uretha sling installed because of stress incontinence...yes, she's morbidly obese). I had that done along with my hysterctomy in 2003. Scary pat...she's having it done at Methodist! Some of the stuff that she's told me that her doctor told her is just plain stupid. I really am hoping it was her misunderstanding him...which..with her, very well could be the case. It should be an interesting day dealing with all of that. Ater that, we have to go pick up the RV from the generator tune-up shop. It's suppose to start raining this afternoon so we asked a friend to bring us over there. It's about a mile from the house...which normally, isn't a bad walk. We will be doing today like we have every other day that I've been off..taking care of business. Oh...for those of you going to Lexington: It looks like there's going to be a clothing exchange down there. What they have in mind though is to set up ONE table over where the venders will be. I highly recommended the coordinator of this to try to get more tables. Anyway, I'll let you know more as I know it. Plan on bringing anything that slipped your attention at our last exchange. I also suggested asking people to bring their grocery bags with them so that folks would have something to put their new items in. So...if you wouldn't mind, save them up and toss them in your car to bring along..k? I am going to be putting together a flier with suggestions to help others start their own local exchanges. Here's what I have so far..let me know what else I should include..k? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The quarterly clothing exchanges are usually held at a church or health-type center...somewhere where the space can be used for free, would have tables and chairs, and has kitchen & bathroom facilities. You will need 8-12 tables for clothes, 2-4 for food, and 6-10 for people to sit at. People who have access to a building that meets these needs volunteer to 'host' the exchanges....whi*****ludes arranging for the building, being there during the set-up and clean-up. There are usually several volunteers to help the host with these. For ours, we try to have them on Saturdays so that more people can be free to come...and the building isn't normally scheduled for use. Everyone pre & post op are invited. It's an excellent opportunity for newbies to get together with those who have 'been there' and ask their little hearts outs. Men are WELCOMED! Spouses are WELCOMED! Children are WELCOMED! No...we don't exchange kids clothes though...adults only. If you have kids clothes that someone else can use though, you're always welcome to throw them in your car and give them directly to that person to throw into their car. We also have a carry-in. Sound strange for post-ops? No. All the food is healthy and WLS friendly. It's a terrific time to share recipes! We usually meet at noon...eat & fellowship..then at 1, everyone goes over to the tables to see what they can find. We usually have people driving as far as 2 hours or so away to attend. We just love the fellowship. Any clothing left over is donated to a local charity of the hosts' choice. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I know I will be word smithing it some yet, but that's the general ideas I thought should come out. Any others? Have a good day everyone! Sherri

I love mexican, but I have NO idea where the ameriplex is. I'm all about beans and rice! This monday just didn't work out for me is all. Just like I wanted to go bonfiring at Angie's it just didn't work out with the Dad babysitting schedule for me. Nothing personal at all, I assure you Followed Marianne's lead and spent sometime converting my old profile over to the new one. Sure glad that's done and over with. Honestly though, now that it's transferred, it will be much easier to use it as I had been.

I got my profile converted too. I like the new format. Its much easier for dummies like me to add pics to my profile. I did have some help though...didnt do it alone. Im on a 6 day stretch at work so Ive been checking in each day just dont have to much to say...havent done anything exciting lately...just working. Tomorrow I have a body wrap scheduled. Im looking forward to that. Sat I have a massage planned. Figured those were good ways to celebrate my 3 months of wt loss. Would rather do that than get new clothes. Besided I need to get all refreshed for my weekend in Lexington. I thought about spending the money on a gown for the ball. Then decided on a spa day instead....LOL So u all will see me in my street clothes but with beautiful skin....LOL Dan, Im glad u are home and able to post. I know all about that diverticulitis. My moms had it for yrs and yrs. Sure hope thats one family trait I dont get passed on to me. I hope u get to feeling better soon papa I love mexican too and I too have never heard of the Amerplex...plus Linda that drive is a bit much for me on a day Im working...maybe another time. ME

Thanks for the update on Deb. Glad the insurance company is able to help her out so quickly. I work up yesterday with a sore throat and drainage. Today it's even worse and I feel slightly feverish/achy/ etc. Blah, I hate being sick. I had to come to work today to do the donuts/Boss's Day activities. They were all very surprised and very appreciative which makes it all worth it. Going to try and stick it out a couple hours longer then hopefully go home and climb in bed. Over the weekend I did drop a few pounds for a total loss of 51 Pounds! That's exciting! Sam
