After putting on an awsome show the HHHS band recived a gold rating but didn't finish in the top 5 so we are not going to get to march in the dome. Ben was so upset he was crying which of course got me crying. He is a senior this year and is not ready for marching season to end.

I was a marching band nerd in high school,. so I understand his disapointment. It will fade though, and he'll be left with all the wonderful memories of all the good competitons he had.

I loved it when my daughter was in marching band. I always went to help with uniforms and chaperone. We made a few trips to the dome (3 years in row) it is a great experience. Had he made it in previous years? I have to take my hat off to all those kids. I can't play a note on anything not to mention trying to move my feet at the same time. Our school won't be making the trip this year either (Dekalb class 4a)They got a gold ranking but came in 7th and only the top 5 get to go from the region.
