Out Of The Box!
I scheduled my very first massage on 10/10. I am super excited!!
The "Goat" (Gazelle) is good. I did my very first work out last night on it. Not too bad. I definately worked up a sweat. The video is really cheesy but makes me laugh all the same. Not very sore today so I'll have to try harder tonight!!

Sam,
Does the tape have Tony Little on it. He can get on your nerves after awhile. He trys to be motivating but I think hes obnoxioius. I have some other exercise equipment that he did the tape for. At first it wasnt a problem but then U can only take so much of that energy...when u watch it over and over everyday....LOL
Mariah
Yes!! The whole time I was watching it was like "SHUT UP ALREADY!" He's try to be all motivating and he isn't even breaking a sweat. Then there is me huffing and puffing. I resist the urge to scream "Shut your ponytailed self up and work out!!" I think once I have the routine down I will be muting it and playing a CD.

Donna,
Thanks!
I was going to go to the meeting, but my husband didn't get home in time for me to go and all the big kids were to busy to watch the little ones. I really missed it. I love to see everyone and hear the stories. I hope you and Jamie are doing well! What is the latest from your insurance saga? I hope you get some good news soon.
Take care,
Carmen
Carmen,
Jaime didn't make it to the meeting last time either, she had something else come up. She is doing well, but is on a plateau (-105). She says she wants to lose 30 more - we'll see. Oh, and she's staying pretty busy when she's not in the classroom with her new (since mid-July) boyfriend.
As far as my insurance saga goes, I have two more months to go on the six-month, physician-supervised diet and exercise program. I sure hope I'm doing what I need to do. I go to my PCP's office every other week to weigh-in, I'm going to Curves about three times a week, I see the dietician at the Weight Loss Center once a month, and I'm going to the Support Group meetings. I think that covers everything - diet, exercise, and behavior modification. The weight isn't dropping off - I've lost about 20 lbs - so there is no danger of me not being heavy enough to qualify for surgery at the end of November
. So, stay tuned. I'm going to reapply to my husband's insurance in November and if they still deny me, then I can sign up for insurance where I work during the open enrollment period which is in late November/early December. Then once I'm covered in January, I can try with them. I'm hoping I don't have to go that route, but at least I have that option.
Best,
Donna

Congratulations on your progress Carmen. I hope to have my own drum roll soon. I've been sitting at 97 for a week now. The next time I get on the scale I'm hoping to see 225 that will be down 100. Still a long way to go but I already feel like a new person. I sure wish I could go to Lexington. (That is good horse country you need to visit the Kentucy Horse Park if you have time) We have other plans the following week and I can't be away from the farm that long. BTW. I like the new pic Carmen.
