Information Session on Monday

Monday I'm going to my information sessions in Indianapolis. I'm going with my mom. I'm kind of nervous about starting the process. I'm going to one with Dr. Gomez at IU in the day, and one at St. V. with Dr. Inman in the early evening. Any help on what questions to ask? Linda

You could ask what THEIR mortality rate is .. How many leaks have they had?? How easy is it going to be to get follow up adcvice when you are faced with a problem? Do they have a nurse who will answer your call and calm your fears.. I don't want to scare you but it is comforting to know that a Dr is willing to talk to you about these things. I know Dr Cacucci told us how many leaks she has had and told us no one had died on her watch.. Believe it or not it was comforting the other day when I went to see Dr Cacucci about a pain and she was willing to go in and look.. I didnt take it as she just wanted to get paid for another surgery I saw it as she was willing to go look and see how to calm my fears and solve the problem. So many Drs in my past have just wanted to wait and see... creating more fear in me waiting... THIS Time I was the one who put her off and wanted to wait and see.. I had to promise her I wouldnt wait to long.. THAT WAS comforting to me!! Just listen to what they have to say and trust God will help you make your decision. Linda
