Got consultation appt now

Hi All, I drove to the surgeon's office and personally turned in the requested paperwork to them and they gave the okay to set up my appt for my consult. I can hardly wait. Yipppeee The appt is scheduled for August 28th at 1:45 with Dr. Margaret Inman for consult for DS at St. V's Carmel. At least when I get that appt done we can start scheduling things. Hugs, Trish

Have you had trouble with Dr. Inman's office returning your phone calls? I've left multiple messages and have heard nothing back. I don't want to harrass them, but I've been approved (Lap Band) and would like to schedule a date.

Have you gotten a letter from insurance? If so, you need to fax it to the office. Ask them to call you to verify they have received it. I have Dr. Evanson, and I can't complain. They cannot schedule you ntil they have received the approval. You can't depend on the insurance company to get it there.

Don't get discouraged. I had Dr. Evanson and most of the time when I would call I'd have to leave a message and they always called back. At this stage of the game they seemed to call back not as quickly but once they get you a date and set you up for testing and class they are easier to contact and they call back faster. At least they did for me. Do what the the previous post said. Make sure they got your approval letter. It took about two weeks after they got the approval letter until I was secheduled. Then it seemed to go a mock 1 speed. Good luck and congratulations on geting approved!
