I have lost 160 pounds i used to weigh almost 300 pounds and now i weigh 137 and am in a size 5-6 the darn BMI says im still over weight!!!! . seems no matter what i weigh or what size i am ill always be over weight. who and how do they figuer what weight is over weight and do the docs expect people to be stick figueres. that BMI thing gets depressing even after all this work. does anyone else feel the same way ? I think the dang BMI is skewed for the insurance companies benifit. I wonder how many people (Dr.'s included) have a normal BMI? Did you know that when Arnold Scwartzenager was in top form his BMI would have shown him obese? There is no way that number can be right for everyone. It should be just used as a guide.

I read today on MSN that the BMI is really not a very good measurement. It apparently does not measure muscle vs fat. I am in the overweight range but feel better & look better than I did when I was in the normal weight range.
