Any Lap Band candidates or losers from Indianapolis?

I am attempting to select a doctor and I am battling back and forth between St. V's and Clarian. Any suggestions?

I'm a lapbander. I'll be a year out on the 31st of this month. I've lost over a hundred pounds and am currently a little past surgeon anticipated goal. My surgeon was Dr Clark via St Francis's Bariatric Program so I'm not familiar with St V's nor Clarian's banding surgeons/program. Though there are some banders that are from there. I'm a bandster, too. I went thru St V's - Dr Gupta. I never checked into Clarian so I can't offer any suggestions about them. The people at St V's are wonderful, though. Feel free to email me if you have any questions. Bren

I am hoping to join your ranks as a bandster...I have been thinking about the lap band for a few months now and I think it's time. I just don't want to have to battle insurance!! Bren, how did you like Dr. Gupta and her office? I work for a St. V facility, so I have heard good things about the surgeons...so it'll be weird to be on the patient side of things. And I'm picky about office staff! I can't stand bad customer service!!

I've never had an issue with any of people in Dr Gupta's office. They've always been very responsive to any questions or issues I've had. Hope to see you on the losing side soon! Bren

I am so excited about my insurance coverage! Not only was I approved on the first try, but talking with the staff at Carmel Surgical Specialists/St. Vincent's Bariatric Program it looks like I will have to pay less than $500! Go Anthem!
