what i know about ed....................

about nothing..............he spoke with the dr when he called. the pcp even had to call and say hey whats up with the results???? ed has called and called.....well finally the dr called said he had old age spots on his brain........well duh...i knew that....lol...does he mean a stroke would leave old age looking spots on the brain in the tests? the dr said he would refere ed to another kind of dr, and ed told him no.....he would see what his pcp has to say......................soooo heck if i even have a clue........anyone know????

So sorry to hear that you still have no answers! I know that can be so frustrating! Please know that I/we are all here for you both as you go through this trying time! I don't know if the old age spots necessarilly mean a stroke occurred, but I'm by no means a dr. My mom had a stroke when I was 18, and nothing was ever said about old age spots on her brain. That's the best I know though. The stoke she had was pretty big though, left her paralyzed on her right side and in a wheelchair for the rest (one and a half years) of her life. Thankfully, if Ed isn't sure if he HAD a stroke or not, it shouldn't have been as large of a stroke as that. Sure hope you guys get some good info and good news soon!

I'd sure hate to see my brain... it is probably covered in old age spots.. as cloudy as my thinkin gets sometimes...The Dr could have been better off not to call at all.. normally they send the PCP or specialist the results and you get a little card in the mail or an explaination in a follow up visit... That call sounded almost worthless.. wish they would let us lowly patients in on the English version of whats happening... OR maybe they did and Ed isnt letting you worry??? Linda
