Hey all! It is Wednesday, and the week's half over. I am proud to be down 4 pounds in two weeks on this medically supervised diet thingie. Today I got to my psychiatrist for a check-up appointment (I have bipolar, well-controlled on medication), and I 'm going to talk to her about the surgery. See if she will do my psych evaluation. I'm excited, as this feels like another step on the road. The 21st are my two informational programs - one at IU in the day, and one at St. V. in the evening. Looking forward to going to those.
Hey Dawn,
Good Luck with those ppl at Ivy Tech today. I hope u have a great journey.
I am doing ok. I didnt loose anymore today. Its kinda a bummer when I get on the scale and it hasnt moved any. But I guess after loosing 3 yesterday I shouldnt be so greedy. Andy gets home today so I'll be busy later today. We are hoping its a nice day...not to hot so we can go out in one of the convertables. I never get them out when hes not here. Its something we enjoy together.
I havent heard from Carmen lately. I think I will make a post to call her out of the shadows!!!
Mariah
Good morning everyone! I have been kicking it today! I guess I'm really starting to feel the crunch of time slipping away here at work. So much to do, so little time..but you know? When I leave here tomorrow, it's gonna be 'oh well, did my best'.
Dawn..have a blast going back to school! I got my Associates from Ivy Tech back in '88. Best thing I ever did! What are you going for? Mine was for Industrial Laboratory Technology...I wanted a career that if I was frustrated, it was objects, not people, causing it. LOL! And that is the case MOST of the time...haha!!
Gail...Congrats on getting your paperwork in!! AND...for going to the support meeting. I know it was a big accomplishment for you!
Linda...4 lbs in two weeks?!? Woo-hoo! That's pretty good for a pcp supervised diet!
Mariah...Have lots of fun while Andy is home! I hope the weather is terrific for you two.
You all have a great day!
Sherri
Good morning everyone! Almost good afternoon! I was up at my usual 6am this morning, but didn't have time to post before it was time to leave for the FIRST BABY APPT!
I've now taken a total of 9 pregnancy tests, including the one at the dr's office today, so I guess it's pretty offical! Got my due date: April 4th Next appt is August 22nd, where I'll actually see the dr (just a nurse today) and decide if my pregnancy is high risk or not. If so, I'll be transferred to a high risk OB and we'll go from there. I made sure everyone knew about my surgery and took in all the vitamins that I take and was okayed to continue what I was taking (multis, biotin, b complex liquid, and I had added 800 mcg folic acid after i suspected i might be preggo). I have been cautioned not to "diet" while im preggo (duh!) so they have me eating several small meals every few hours to compensate for pouch size, but I was okayed to go ahead and continue my excersising for now. I did have to drop my pilates class, but if I can scrape up $90 by October, I'm going to sign up for the prenatal yoga classes they offer. She said I might possibly still lose weight throught my pregnancy, but not at the rate I was before, and as long as the baby continues to grow (which will be monitored carefully), then there is no problem with that
Dawn- I know you'll love going back to school! I can't wait til I get to go back again- which will now NOT be this winter!
Gail- WTG on that paperwork! Hopefully you'll get that approval letter ASAP! It took almost a month for me to get mine, but then I was scheduled so FAST!
Linda- Sherri is right, 4 lbs in two weeks is awesome! Keep up the good work! Every pound you lose now is anothe rpound you won't have to lose after surgery!
Mariah- 3 pounds yesterday, eh? I'd be pretty darned excited about that! Hope if you take the 'vertibles out that it doesnt rain on your parade!
Sherri- Girl, I know you've been workin that bony lil butt of yours off trying to get things done around work. I'll bet youll be SO glad when the whistle blows today!
Everyone else- hope all is well and that you have a terrific day!
Darrah,
Now that you have a due date, before you go putting anything else in lay-away, do me a favor and go to Target, Babies R Us, etc and get registered through them. My daughter & step-daughter both have babies that are out-growing stuff (one's a girl and one's a boy)...in fact, both have newborn outfits that I had bought that their youngest ones never even wore!. If we (all of us here on OH) have an idea of what you like/need, then we would know what to keep our eyes open for. There's lots of gently used or never used baby stuff out there!
I have a pretty good list of email addresses for the folks here. If you'd like to send me the online info for what-ever stores you register at, I'd be happy to pass it on to everyone (and if you've never gotten an email from me & want on the email list, drop me an email). I wouldn't post it on here though...you know my phobia about putting too much personal stuff on here (like phone numbers).
So...when's the sonogram so we can know if it's a boy or girl???
Oh...did you get hold of the dieticians at St. V's yet? If not, do....ASAP. They can help guide you through the nutritional part of the pregnancy.
Huggs!!
Aunt Sherri
Sherri-
I'll see if hubby and I can get that done this weekend. We have some company in from out of state til Monday, so it might be next week sometime. I started to register some stuff when we were at walmart before, but I don't really have any family left (just my dad and brother), and other than OH, I only have 2-3 friends, all of which live out of state, so I didn't really know who would benefit from it So I will get that done, and get you the info asap. I think I'm on your email list, but I never check the addy that I have registered on OH, I should go change that right now!
Darrah,
Whenever you get a chance hon. Where-ever you'd like too...I know Wal-Mart has some cute baby stuff too. Oh...I loved the Baby Depot at Burlington's! I think most of those, you can register at their site online...if that would make it any easier on you.
Sweetie, you have a whole state full of family here on OH!! So yes! There will DEFINATELY be a benefit for your efforts..especially for your little one though!
