Hi everyone ,
Happy 4th ..

Did you all have to do a liqued diet b4 surgery ? cause i mean im not really gonna have time since my surgery is in a few days ?
and who is Dr Buffie , says i have to be at his group at 9:30 am Firday.. just wondering what they do there etc.. whats the ( IIMC)
thanks for any info you can give ~ hugss
As Angie said, Dr Buffie is the doctor that goes over all your testing and gives you a quick physical and ask a few questions (such as realistic goals you have in regard to your weight) and then he's the final say of yes or no for your surgery. After that it's smooth sailing.
To add your surgery date to your profile and so it shows when you post - it's on your account manager (where you click the option to update your profile). It's one of the options there. Also where you click to update your profile is more surgery info there. Should be pretty simple to find. If not let me know and I'll go "huntin" for ya and get ya the detailed directions/insturctions, hahaha.
Good Luck.
wow you will not have much time for any liquid diet....yeah i went on one like a week before cos mine went kinda quickly....
dr buffie is at st f and he goes over the testing you just had done and says YES or no to the surgery ...he will let you know if something needs to be looked into more...but i am sure your gonna do just fine....but he was at st f and i went into his office there at st F after all my testing was done, but that was 2 years ago so no idea now....or so it seems to me that was his name....LOL....maybe they no longer do the liquid diet.....
My regimen was the same as what Mariah said.... just a special diet the day before surgery. It was to eat a normal breakfast, full liquids for lunch, and then clear liquids for dinner. I think this may be normal through St. Vincent's Bariatric Center unless a particular surgeon does something else, because it was what was taught at the pre-op class.
I was glad to have no pre-surgery liquid diet! I ate all of my favorite foods for the week beforehand... I know it's not recommended, but I did it anyway.
