finger nails

I'm still having the hair fall out and have increased my protein and and I'm taking Biotin. I've always had weak fingernails. I've noticed a ridge in my nail that is about half way grown out. Have any of you noticed stronger nails after surgery while taking the calcium,vitamins and biotin? I'm hoping once these have grown out they will be stronger.

My fingernails are definately stronger since I've been taking biotin! Sherri

You might want to consider switching from biotin to a b-complex. My dietitian had me switch. She said they had been finding that people are low on other b's too. The b-complex I picked up has the same amount of biotin, plus the other b's. Good luck. Cindy

I take b 12 b 1 and B-50 which has all the bs in it. along with the biotin. the dietician at St. V. said these were fine in combination with each other. CJ
