Lactose Intolerance since surgery
GNC has has isopure protein drink that have different flavors, they have grape frost, a banna pinnaple orange, mango, orange they have a fruit punch type also, I like these way better then the milk type. they have 40 gr of protein in each 20 oz bottel, but unforantly it is like 2.80 to 3.40 each but the are a good way for protien, I still drink these even though I am able to get more protein in. Good luck.

Isopure can get pretty expensive. My mother tried it and ended up hating it. I am lactose intolerant and what I do is take Designer Whey Protein and mix it with ice cold water. Or take it and blend it with ice, water, and a fruit (usually strawberries) to change the flavor. It's not as much protein as you would get with milk, but you are still getting in about 18g of protein per 8-10 ozs. That's fantastic!
Ann, I am 10 days out and had the same lactose intolerance reaction. It sure felt awful. To be honest, I can barely tolerate the taste of ANY of the protein supplements, but I've been forcing myself to drink Slim Fast Low Carb Creamy Chocolate, and it hasn't caused a negative lactose reaction... it has 20 grams of protein for 11 oz, 190 cal. per serving. It's kind of high in fat (9g) but I figure there has to be a trade off somewhere if I'm going to have any success getting in the protein! You have to be sure to get the Low Carb formula to get the increased protein.
Good luck... I am literally counting the days until I can get protein from somewhere other than supplements!! I never thought I'd be so excited about the idea of a tiny chicken breast!
